I am a physician and deal with "fibromyalgia" patients several times per week. Would you like to know what most physicians think of this? Fat, out of shape, miserable, body focused hypochondriacs who use this supposed "disease" as an excuse to be a torment to everyone around them. My advice - get some vigorous exercise, get a job, deal with why you are depressed, and stop posting on these dumb websites. All this does is legitimize a bunch of crap. Quit focusing on what most people interpret as normal body sensations, like aching muscles or gas pain, both of which are NOT evidence for pathology.

How dare you come to a website for those of us who have CFS/FM. Go back to your practice and "practice" a little more on your bedside manner and stay off of the internet.

Hehe gas pain, "aching" muscles?!? Are you really a dr or maybe you just missed the part where you pay attention to the patient? It's obvious that you don't have this and that you really don't have a clue about those who do.

Hello everyone. Obviously this deserves a response from the leader of this forum, but may I urge everyone that reads this to keep in mind that Trolls come in many forms.

A Troll is someone that will pop into a forum and say something outrageous to invoke a response and literally "gets off" on those responses, especially the more heated they become.

I doubt very much that the person that posted this is a medical professional by any means since I highly doubt one would 1) post 2) post a negative comment with a purpose only to infuriate the members of the forum.

Also keep in mind that it's obvious that this individual failed to read the forum's Rules as this individual clearly failed to post with the spirit of esteem that this forum promotes and will even take actions to penalize those that ignore said rules.

I've decided to leave this post, however, as a good example to everyone just what bored and non-intelligent people will do just to get their kicks.

This poster is nothing more than a Troll and should not receive any of the reactions they are looking for. And for the poster, if you truly are a medical professional then I challenge you to reveal your medical documentation to back up your claim as well as identify yourself instead of hiding in the shadows only to make a pathetic post for people who endure real pain without real results from "medical professionals" who have limited their judgements about what Fibromyalgia is based on their inability to treat it, and identify true causes and do serious research. Instead, these so called "medical professionals" feed on their busy practice of quick fix patients and become intimidated by something more challenging than a cold.

To the poster of an impressive.. 1 post ... I say find a more healthier hobby or keep to your porn sites, but most definitely refrain from any more disrespectful behavior. This will be your final warning.

New to the forum (as in this is my second post)This is the very 1st thread I read. I want to say how good it made me feel to see the moderator/forum leader reply to this in such an effective manner. It is nice to know that rudeness will not be tolerated. and to the "Doctor" that started this thread.. I hope you have the gall to come back and read because you should know that I am NOT fat (I have a very well used membership at the gym), Not depressed and I have a very challenging job that I go to 40+ hours a week !!! I also maintain a household that includes 4 boys between the ages of 6 and 12...many times my husband is out of town working therefore I do this on my own.. I have several horses to care for and I'm not generaly miserable.. Yes, I have this pain and sometimes it makes all the things stated above very, very difficult...but I also have a life and am not lazy as you insinuated..
