Hello all! I've done private chats with some of you...nervous about this big step, getting out feelings for EVERYONE to see. But all of you are in the same boat as me, so maybe I can stay afloat!

I understand what you've been saying about keeping your home clean. I have been "home" for almost 5 yrs now. I had 3 major surgeries in 4 yrs that made my Fibro of 15+ years turn from mild to extremely severe. I now receive disability. Although my hubby doesn't look at it that way. I'm home, therefor the house should be clean and clutter free.

One way I've found to not over tax myself is to do one "chore" each day, breaking them up so not to overdo in one day. I too use the Lysol wipes. My hubby got me a ROOMBA for my birthday, christmas, anniversary gift one year. They're expensive but I couldn't do with out "Rosie" (from the Jetson's!). Scrubbing Bubbles auto daily spray works better for me that hand pump ones (well water...very hard. I've also found I need to be carefuel with scented cleaners, especially if using more than one in a day or room. I get bad headaches and sometimes nausea from them. Any one else have this problem? I'm an Advocate

Hi shadows and WELCOME ~~~

It sounds like you have things pretty much in control with your situation and hopefully you hubby will come around to seeing that you are doing the best that you can.

I still work but my hubby feels the same way in that I don t ""do enough"" around the house either. I do what I can on days off and as long as I accomplish something, I feel that I have done my part.

We re glad to have you in our group and hope you drop in to chat with us often. Smile

Marilyn

I'm also on disability and therefore home all the time. I try to do one or two things a day too. Sometimes, like the past couple of days, even one chore is too much and nothing gets done. I've been having a hard time for the past few days and have felt like I've accomplished a lot just taking a shower. Luckily my husband understands. I have the chemical sensitivity too. It goes so far as to include colognes and perfumes. I can't wear them and I can't be around others who wear them. I get headaches, nausea, dizziness. I have to be careful what cleaning supplies I buy and everything. No Frebreeze for me. No scented candles. Welcome to the group Shadow. I'm still new but I don't feel it. I feel like I've been here a long time.

rmmm164,

the dollar tree's and dollar general sell organic cleaniers have you tried them I can't think of the name but they are good,

I've been here along time and never felt new either we are one big disfunctinal family.

I exscape my house at times because I know I will be depressed not being able to clean like I want I find sometimes going to town and buying(when I can) a cleaning gadget helps me feel better and more motivated to clean how weird I am.

shawdow6,

one blessing about this group is we dont judge but understand, most of us have the same struggles,

So hi Im broken and I am glad your here

I'm kinda on strike against cleaning. Well not so much cleaning as the manufacterers of the cleaning products. The stuff I like is no longer being made or marketed in this neck of the woods. The only cleaner I could tolerate was 409 Orange. It didn't leave me gaging

each time I used it and left a clean scent in the house. They don't make nothing in orange flavor anymore so my house don't get cleaned.

I have some orange flavored spic -n - span which I think I just might water down and put it in a spray bottle....

I just cleaned out the fish tank which hadn't been done in about 2 months. I call that a successful day.

While I have to say I'm a bit jealous with the house cleaning you all are getting done today. It is snowing here and needless to say I'm on the couch (the only room with the DVD) and barely able to type on the computer. I sooo wish I could hire a maid (my fourteen year old daughter...that probably says enough} I would love to have a clean house. Oh to think back upon the days were my house smelled clean and felt soft and cozy!!!!

I have a cat and a dog and needless to say there is fur everywhere!

So as I admir you all I will stay here on the couch and dream.

Thank you guys I love all of the support I have found here!

If I use spray cleaners of any kind I spray it down while holding my breath and then run out of the room and close the door behind me. I leave it closed about 10 min. then open the door and air it out another five and then if it has dried use a damp cloth to clean with. If it hasn't dried I use paper towel. Mostly I try not to use sprays because of the asthma.
