hi ALL..... In the last few days we have had a couple of threads going on medication... And I just went a head out of curiousity I went on-line and looked up the meds a few of you are taking.... And oh my gosh.... Alot of the meds are meds for the same thing, or one med conteracts the other med...Some have (don't remember all the terms) blockers that are not to be used with certain other types of meds.. The side effects you might be having from some of the combinations of meds..... I was taught saddle making by a very simple mam... His moto was "Keep it simple stupid" and I have tried very hard to live by that .. For me it means only taking the bare necessity of any drug. Meaning only take what works... even if the doctor wants me on 4, if two are enough to control the problem then to me its better... I do talk to my doctor about my changes..... and so far he has agreed.... I know there are meds you have to take it as prescribed but if not... and you can lessen the dosage then it is better for you and your body... This was me a few yrs ago...... well kinda.. but much simpler..... 1. Get a med for Pain a side effect is constapation 1a Get pill for constapation 2.Get pill for not being able to sleep a side effect up set stomach 2a get med for upset stomach 3.get med for twitchin a side effect headaches 2a meds for headaches 4 Med for a different type of pain you have a side effect gain weight 3a diet or weight control meds... (side effects unknow..) 4 Med for depression because you are hurting, can't sleep and you twitch and you constapated. a side effects are way to many to on about here... More visits to Doctors who are going to give you more drug.... I think you get the idea.... I know most of us think like this.... Well if one pill makes me feel this good then heck 4 will make me feel like I am on cloud 9.... Well it might for a while.... but did anyone ever think of the damage you are doing by taking all these meds to you liver and kidneys...... they have to detox the body...... what trash we put in they have to remove....... Please research, and then research it again before you put it into your body...... Some doctors kinda get bonuses for pushing a certain type of drug..... And no I do not want to hear someone say "oh no they don't". Because if you read the papers and magazines... you will have read storieds .
