"I HAVE FIBROMYALGIA AND I WANT TO SUPPORT OTHERS WHO HAVE IT AS WELL." (runningwolf1)

MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

hiya, my name is claire and im a 28 year old female from the UK. I've just received a diagnosis of FM after trying to deal wit a multitude of symptoms for about three years. Diagnosis good, length of time it has taken bad, but im sure thats pretty much the consensus for all people with FM isnt it.

Well im a full time occupational therapy student and mother of one fab little girl. Im due to finish my degree in three weeks and im really struggling with the work, i cant type or write for the majority of the day as it hurts too much and im finding it really difficult to concentrate, my boyfriend is very supportive and is doing his best to help but im feeling so low right now. Any pearls of wisdom or even just some virtual hugs would be grand. Later alligators

Hey,

I've had fibro for many years now and I had the same problem. At the time I was working as a secretary. My dr put me on neurontin and I have to say it is what gets me through the day. Not only can I type again but it controls the overall pain.

Hope this helps.

A Big Hug and Welcome to our family. You're a brave and amazing individual to stick it through and finish your goals and to have your support team there with you. Nothing can be more precious than family and a great doctor that can help you with your suffering and give you the means to live through your illness which many brave and amazing people do despite how debilitating this illness gets.

If you get a chance, take a look at some of the suggestions left by family members who have had success with certain books. One member has even posted a full website full of information to help people get started and get living.

Thanks for posting and hoping the best for you.
