Everything hurts today. Its so hard some days to keep a positive attitude and keep going - I know i have to - but some days it just sucks. It just hurts. Everything can be so much work. I didn't do my hair hardly b/c I seriously can't lift my hands that hight today. It just hurts. And i'm weak - I just don't want to play today.

I haven't called in going on 7 weeks - i'm doing everything i can to keep myself up and going. i make myself come to work every day - I just dont allow myself to have that option.

but some days I just don't want to do life. None of it - i just hurt. This isn't a desperate cry - i'm just over it. and sometimes it jsut gets frustrating. I'm NOT supopossed to be in a flare right now - hormonally speaking that is - yet I feel like i've had the flu for ever and my body aches and im tired adn there isn't one part of me that doesn't hurt today. And my hip feels like i've been in an accicdent. I'm too young for this... I want to RUN and play dammit.

And I try to keep a postive attitude as best I can.. but today... i just don't wanna.

I know how you feel. It's hard to be in pain all of the time. I was having an emotional day yesterday, feeling like the pain defeated me. Today I am in a better spot. Not sure why, just am. The pain isn't better, just my emotions.

One thing that really helped me yesterday is realizing that we are never given more than we can handle. Those of us that suffer with fibro are very strong, caring people. The fibro may make it hard for us to do what we want to do physically, but it doesn't have to rule how we feel on the inside. Besides, it's ok to have to take care of ourselves once in a while. I find that when I take care of myself others are envious, wishing they could slow down & do the same for themselves. One thing I do no matter how badly I hurt is really try to be "in the moment" with my hubby & kids. Spending time w/ family is so important to me and I find they help take my mind off the pain for at least little moments in time.

On another note, without realizing it you have helped me more than words can say. I love reading your posts! You are so real and honest that I feel a bond with you that I don't have with some of my other friends. I tell you this so that you can see that you are worth more than the pain of the fibro! You have MANY great qualities about you! Like finishing the sand castle for example! Anyway, I think you get my point.

I will step down from my soapbox now. Know that I am praying for you and wish you better days ahead! PM me anytime...I'm here for you!

Wow aquarian; We know what youre going thru. Its so hard to force yourself to do things when you dont have the strength or clean mind But thats what helps us keep going I guess And yet we still have to deal with the naysayers and nonbelievers.

Aquarian I am in the same shape you are,I don't feel I should be in a flare but it feels like flu and we all know it isn't. I get so tired of being sick and tired. At least I'm alone and only have myself to take care of. It hurts to type today so I'll leave it at that because I know you all undetstand.

OK - this sounds ridiculous - but I vented to my mom - so she's coming to take me to my dr. appt so I don't have to drive! Seriously - I live in a town with a ton of my family - and i don't know what i would do without Each and every one of them. They take care of me, and help with my kids ALL THE TIME. In my life.. it really does take a village! my husband is constatntly blown away (still after almost 13 years of marriage) of how helpful they all are to us. I'm very blessed in so many ways - so I feel I shouldn't get so down. I know it could be so much worse. But ya know... I WANT to do all these things for my fam... And I've had to learn how to ask and accept help. Sorry... I'm rambling...

Wouldn't it be nice if we all qualified for home health care, and a nice live in nurse could be with us? Ahhh.. there I go off dreaming again.

Hope you feel better soon. We all have been there. You are an awesome group of people. We are there for each other. Its ok to dream of fibro island or home health care. It helps us. We all need to just hang on we will be ok.

OMG, im so sorry that u feel so bad, I wish i was there to give more than just a email hug. you need a physical hug so close your eyes and think about me being there giving u the biggest hug u've ever had. Just sit there and take it in. I cried for u. I hurt so bad myself and you always think u are worse than evyone until you read something like this. When you have relaxed and the hug is over and u now can move on, let me say this, We r here for u, anytime u need a friend. just send a pm or a message to anyone here, this is what this site is all about, itsn it. So, now whenever u just cant take it anymore, you cant get to the pc at that moment just remember, Im only a hug away, close your eyes and ill b right there. So happy ur here. Love Margie
