I am a 29 year-old woman with Fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed in 1998. It's hard to believe it's been 10 years already!

The severity of my FM symptoms has gone up and down over the years; I've even had as much as almost a year with no symptoms at times. However, these days I'm struggling quite a bit with severe symptoms. I am trying to maintain as much quality of life as possible. I even belong to a very active dance troupe. I'm usually in bad shape for a couple of days after practice, and sometimes have to take a pain pill just to go to class.

I have a wonderful and supportive husband, but like anyone who doesn't have FM, he really doesn't understand it. Unfortunately, my mother has it as well, but it is so nice to have someone to talk to who knows what I'm going through. I'm hoping to find more of that in this group.

Hello and Welcome to the forum!!

I think as you get familiar with everything you'll feel comfortable and find many of us going thru the same things....in fact your gonna find yourself saying "hey, I could have wrote that"!

It's a good place to just talk and vent, especially on those down days!! Ya know, where you want to just throw something and fall on the floor, kicking and screaming and pounding your feet like a 2 year old !!

So we hope to hear from you when your up to it!

Spruce

welcome to our "safe" place. I love having a place where I can vent on those bad days and I always learn something new. sometimes I laugh till I cry reading the funny post here and other times I cry because I know the pain someone is going through. Our fibro family.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel -- but it's a train about to run over you.
