I got disability for fibro after applying for the first time in August 2007. When I feel better I'll start a discussion on disability.

I can't now. I had to see my pain doc today. He's 1 1/2 hours away. I hurt so bad before I started I knew it would be difficult. Worse than I thought. On the way home I stopped at my local pharmacy to have the script filled and ended up crying. By the time I got home I was shaking and barely able to move. I've been home about an hour now and the oxycontin is starting to kick in, but still so miserable I can barely stand it. I'm been praying the serenity prayer ever since I started driving back from the doc's office. For those of you who don't know it, here it is:

"God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference."

At times this becomes a mantra for me, and a form of meditation. It has never not helped. When I pray, which is often, I usually pray for acceptance and the grace to become whole again.

I want to thank everyone that had replied to my post. I certainly appreciate it.

I haven't been on here today until now. I didn't sleep last night and I been hurting all day today. I am just so miserable. I'm going to call my doc tomorrow and see about getting some pain meds. I'm also going to talk to him about how I been so depressed. I'm not even interested in doing the things that I enjoy doing. Not that I can do very much. All day today I just wanted to sit and cry. Where will that get me though?

Besides the Trazadone I'm not on anything else for this. I have been taking Prozac for a long time now though.

So, I take it that filing for disability with Fibro is a very long drawn out process. I do have an eBay store and a website. I make Italian charms. I make some extra money doing that but not very much. I used to be able to sit and make 30-40 charms at one time. Now I'm to the point where I can only stand to sit long enough to make 10 at a time. Does anyone here think that doing this will have a baring on getting the disability?

Well, I have tons of email to go through. I hope to be on here off and on for the next few hours.

Thank you to all my new friends!! (((HUGS)))

hello there dodgegirl...you are Not along.

first I am so sorry.Really.and that crazy stuff consid.source.what did

You think of them?.also & second you have cats right. My cats have all been

mousers/ratters, & mice carry more Lyme ticks then any heard of deer. Why?

because they move through the grasses & love to come up under the deer

while they rest. The mice have the ticks, mice meet other mice, sometimes

house mice. When a cat kills a mouse the blood grows cold & as they carry

it proudly back to you they climb onto their face etc.Cats blood is so acidic

they wait for you,or your dog.I own a farmhouse & some land.My cousin does

as well.We use to call them cat ticks.Anyhow he has to take Zanix all the time

because he was not treated for it right off.The Doc.read the cover letter from

the blood test & told him "yeah go to Paris everythings just fine" the last page

of the letter said 3rd stage lyme Quite possible.Nerve damage however slight

is unkind on so many levels.Just like most Doc.s.I've eaten more Doxycyclean

then I can recall.The 2 or3 rings red & greasy looking don't always appear.

Sometimes the hole looks like, feels like Zit.Google Amy Tan the Writer she &

all her $ right? New York Doc.s all that jazz.Treated her for everything but for

years.She can't be 40 & jeewiss.CBS Sunday Morning had a piece on her.

I hope I helped some...have some other ideas. anger helps&so does humor

I find that kindness is often seen as weakness.Thats a big mistake with some

of us.Their your Doc.s not God.Most have never had a tooth ack.If you have

had a blood test, get another one look for Lyme. Please don't worry about the

crazy thing.I've been called much much worse. Hell I work the Violent ward at

the mental[state] as a psyk aide2.I know crazy...the worst were paid.

christopher...chris to my freinds. hug a beautiful day for me.TMJ day

HI.. if its a blood testfor lymes..be careful.... a lot of labs do not do the right tests... there are only about 6 labs in the US that are lymes literate...... that means that they really know what they are doing.......... I can give you one in Fl...and they can give you the other ones... in the US...I think...

Also if you have fibro and are going for disability you have enough other things going on with you that qualify for SSD.... depression.... you can get the list from your local SS office....I am sure that if your doctor is working with you at all he can diagnose you with one of them
