MDJunction to me

aTinaL"To me, Mdjunction comes down to motivation. The support and information I have found here motivated me to take a very proactive stance regarding my illness. This led me to find medication and doctors that are giving me my life back.
More important than even the motivation, though, is the friendship I have found at MDJ. I have made some of the best friends of my entire life right here in this group. Even though most of us have never met, it feels as if we have known each other for years.
If Angels walk among us, and I believe that they do, most of them are here at MDJ.

Hi Everyone

I'm Pam and live in Ontario, Canada. I have had fibro since 1993, didn't really 'accept'it until 2002 and have been up and down physically, mentally, and emotionally since then. I think my story is fairly typical - trying all different treatments but have had little success. Lately, I have been really down - I'm going through menopause and I think the hormones are contributing to my mood, fatigue and pain. The doctors have recommended a change in medication - weaning off 3 drugs which will be replaced by one. Hoping this will help, but in the meantime, I am reaching out for a place where everyone "gets it" while I am trying to get out of this slump.

Hello from Canada, Welcome to our family. We all understand what you are going through and we are all here to help. You have come to the right place for support. I was recently diagnosised this past Sept. I had no idea what Fibromyalgia was but, I have been suffering since 1988. All the doctors I went to didn't know anything about Fibromyalgia. I was greatful when I was finally given a name to what I had and then the fear hit me. When I found this web-site, I was lookig for support, information, friends,& understanding. I could not get over how many have this. I was really surprised. We all support each other, there's no judging from anyone and it's great to talk to someone about anything. So Again, WELCOME! God Bless. shortstuff

Thanks for making me feel so welcome - its amazing how a few kind words and understanding can boost your spirits. I read your profile - there is no shortage of stress in your life! I hope your husband is doing well. You must be so proud of your son and what he is doing for his country. I'm glad I found this site - seems like a great bunch of people.

Favorite Poem :
It is such a relief when you first find out.
That the pain really does have a name,
And then you will ask (and everyone does),
"Just where can i place all the blame".
No matter the limits, no matter the pain,
There's no evil, cruel "Master Plan".
It just simply happens, It just simply is.
You adapt, and you change what you can.
But even with the knowing the best and the worst,
All the pitfalls the future could hold,
You still have a choice, you quit or you fight.
You determine the story that's told.
And every small step that we take, my dear friends,
Each battle that we slowly win,
Just credits the love and the caring we share
With the FMily that we call our friends.
