MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

thanks so much to all that have wished me a warm welcome. i havent felt this welcomed since when i first started police work which was 1999. unfortunately due to fibro unable to keep the career i worked so hard to earn. i was diagnosed back in jan 2005. and finally realized i wasnt strong enough anymore nor had enough energy to continue it after 5 years. i was devastated and it took me quite a long time to talk about the fibromyalgia. 3 years later i'm no longer embarassed to discuss it and have moved on to work w/ mental hrealth clients which is more relaxed so to say. anyhow my poor husband proposed to me a month before i got sick not realizing that i was going to have a chronic illness. poor guy has been put through hell w/ me. it took him quite some time and realizes how fibro effects my daily living. he has been wonderful. along w/ the fibro i have ibs, tmj, overactive bladder, interstitial cystitis, esophogytis and day to day pain that changes spots. i am so glad to be in this forum. i look forward to learning new info and talking to those who underdstand.my rhematologist had reccomended finding a support froup to find out about others w/ fibro.

May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.

Hi Dee, It's so important to have a place where we can be understood. Because no one will understand...how could they? I'm the one feeling crappy and I'm not so sure I understand!!
