Terri I think the most agrivating part of this is finding what works for you. I actually think it's great that your dr is sending you to a specialist who deals with this hopefully that means they will be more agressive in treating you and willing to work with your sensitivities to find a combination that's good for you . Good luck

spruce1, it takes alot to bore me...lol. i'm a news phanatic as well as i love info and learning new things. enablex is for my overactive bladder, elmiron is for my interstitialcystitis and cozaar for my blood pressure. yes when my primary care then( i have now switched) put me on decadron then weened me to predisone i too gained 50lbs which i have yet to loose. trying though,(weight watchers, i'm on a mission...lol) anyhow, after about a month and a half of horrible pains, tingling, numbness etc i got into a rhematologist, actually cheif of rhematology(stepfather knew someone to get me in quick) anyhow the ran tests for hepc, lupus, sjogrens,ms,etc. after one and a half months after tests after tests, catscan's,mri's, bloodwork etc, the diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. got me off the steriods rhematologist said it exacerbated the fibro very badly.so anyhow, i go to my primary care at the time and tell him and he said that fibro is a trashbag diagnosis and he doesnt believe in it. i was pissed, however i couldnt say much to him because he was a good friend of the family. so to make along story short it was his fault i gained 50lbs now i have to bust my butt to loose it.

that was all in oct 2004-jan2005. now as i go along they keep finding new things wrong w/ me when symptoms come up,(myofascial pain) tmj(have to wear mouthpiece to bed),blood press, overactive bladder, ibs, interstitial, cystitis, esophogytis, fatigue, fibro, then on top of it this sept i had surgery for hernated disc, i just can't win. everytime i turn around its always something. now most everything i have is manageable and bearable.i'm 29, diagnosed @27.i'm just wondering if all this will get alot worse, actually kinda scared. i thought i was healthy when all this began, well for the most part anyhow. i look back to when i was teens and 20's and i had symptoms of fatigue, and ibs it just got bad all of the sudden, luckily i was diagnosed early.

well this is much more info then ya asked for , i just needed to get it all out its one of those days.

Well Dee, At least your life is interesting!!

You sound like you have an upbeat attitude and that's great!

I can't stay on long since I have to go and get some fun tests done.

You try and have a good day (like that'll happen )

Thanks Dee!

It was a very interesting day to say the least. I will not get my results for about a week. He put me on Clinoril 200mg, twice a day until my results are done. He also prescribed Aquatic therapy. Like I have been telling everyone, with the weight I gained from Lyrica, the LAST thing I feel like doing is putting on a bathing suit!

Gee Terri I do wish I could put on here a picture I got in an email a few months back. I laughed my behind off. It sort of looked like me in a swim suit. Here was this aged 90 year old lady. I guess she was that old anyway. lololol Over weight. Skin wrinkled. Yet she thought she was beautiful and 120 lbs. Her swim suit was not much more than a couple of strings with two triangles in the proper places if you know what I mean. Well with all that fat you could barely see the triangles. lololol Lots of wrinkles like the dogs you see with all those cute wrinkles on his face I think it is a sharpee or something like that. She was not what you would want to see just before you started to eat dinner for sure. I am sure it would upset your stomach. lololol she had a big cigarette hanging out of her mouth just for effects and her hand on her hip. She really thought she was the beautiy of the beach the was she was standing. Do you think perhaps her dr. told her to do the aquatic therapy too?????? Dr. they sometimes just don't know what they are asking of us. lolololol

That is hilarious! I keep thinking of trying on a bathing suit and I would rather vomit. All I keep thinking is, "THIS BETTER BE WORTH IT!!" LOL
