Oroman I wish I could help but I am on very minimal meds for the fibro as my doc is being vert tight fisted. I would answer your Q if I had a clue.

Hey tabitha, welcome to the group (& to all other newbies that have posted here). This is a great place to come for help, support & understanding, its where i spend most of my days! My family are very supportive of me but they dont understnad completely what its like for me. Like the other day, i was waiting at the hospital to see a fibro specialist & my mum was telling me what i should & shouldn't say to her, most of it was made up & all i could think was 'hold on a minute, its my fibro. Im not making anything up cos how can she give me the right treatment if i do?' I know my mums just trying to help but hearing stuff like that doesnt help me & ends up causing me more pain, she just doesnt get that! My friends...well, my friends are pretty non existent these days. They all make plans to meet up & do stuff together & i dont even get an invite anymore because in the past ive had to say no or cancel on them, they obviously dont understand that somedays i cant join them & other days i have to cancel last minute BUT i do have days when im ok, when i can do stuff with them but im not invited to! Thats some of the reasons why im always on here, everyone are sooooo wonderful & supportive & who else can understand a fibro sufferer but a fellow fibro sufferer Smile Oh & im 28, so i think im the closest to your age so far...i win!!! Grin
"When things go wrong and they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit
Rest if you must, but dont you quit.

Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems afar.
So, stick to the fight when you're hardest hit,
Its when things go wrong when you mustn't quit"

i'm not sure what yor question is oroman, and unfortunatly i cannot help too much because i could not tolerate cymbalta. AT ALL...and skelaxin is not strong enough for me.

something that i do, though may not be the best idea, i take caffeine pills to counteract the sleepiness of my meds. it (the sleepiness) wears off eventually.

welcome everyone too, im so glad to have found this group as i'm sure you all are too, I LOVE THIS PLACE AND YOU GUYS.

Hi Tabatha. I love your name! Same as mine! I go by Tabby and mine is spelled Tabitha but still the same. Don't see that very often.

So glad you found us and hope you will continue to post whenever you need to. You will find such kind compassionate people here who do understand what you are going through.

Unfortunately, my doctor and Casty's doctor must have gone to school together cuz my doctor is very tight-fisted with meds too....also, a nice big welcome to all the newbies and ha painless and fun 2009 to all!
Everyone sees who I appear to be,
But only a few know the real me.
You only see what I choose to show.
There's so much behind this smile...
So much you don't know.
