Why wear a ribbon?

MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

Welcome voiceofgrog,

Aquarian is lucky just like me to have a supportive, jokester of a husband just like mine. Although he would never get on here. He hates to type, plus I keep him too busy. (i'm sooooooooo Lucky)!

And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.

Wecome, Voiceofgrog. I agree with everyone else, that is so wonderful that there is someone that is so understanding and wants to learn more. I only wish that my spouse would take such an interest. He says he has read up on it, but I know he didn't. I applaud you and I hope if I mention this to him, maybe, just maybe, he will find time to check out this sight!

Thanks for the welcome everyone! But kesslmama I have to disagree with your words insinuating that Fibro is something "wrong" with you. This disease sucks and it forces those who have it to struggle on a daily basis... but NONE of them are "wrong" for having it,no more than I am wrong for having blond hair. (No dumb blond jokes!)

It is VERY easy to fall into and maintain a negative mindset with Fibro. There are very few things you can actually control with this disease, but how you approach it is one of them. I may be reading into your statement to much, and I apologize if I have, but I saw first-hand what a constant stream of negative statements can do to someone. There is NOTHING "wrong" with you.

Q: What does a blond Owl say?

A: What, what?

Q: What did the blond girl name her pet Zebra?

A: Spot.

Q: Why did the blond drive into the ditch?

A: To turn the blinker off.

On that note... Grog's finally got me to quit apoligizing for not being able to do things. It's probably something we all do - but I'm finally approaching it without apoligizing to the world.

She wanted to know where the chicken was going!

HEYYY -- I tried to tell a nice one yesterday I noticed my 7 year old daughter apoligizing for everything, and realized I had to QUIT or she wouldn't... she was mimicing me (where's spell check when we need it?).
