Hello all! I signed up to be a group leader for scoliosis group. I have studied the literature on fibromyalgia extensively so that I can help clients that are referred to me. I noticed that many have asked about progression of symptoms. From what I have read constant pain begins to alter the central nervous system making the sensitivity to pain greater than normal.

By the way how many of you have had the diagnosis broken down for you? Fibro = the fibers that hold you together. Myo = the muscles that move you. Algia = pain.

You will notice in my signature line Antalgic = against pain. Yes in trying to avoid pain you can create over use of fibers and muscles causing more pain.
