MDJunction to me

"When I first came to MDJ, I was in a very dark place, and feeling quite alone, I don't know how I found this site, but I have been very grateful ever since, all of you have offered insight to the illness of Bipolar and the other things going on with me, being here has allowed me to find friends, and to feel safe in discussing things that I would never have shared before.

I believe it has also offered me the chance to reach out and help others. A simple Thank you, is all that I have to offer, to this site and to the wonderful people here.

It can certainly seem that way at times. That's when you weigh out which causes you more trouble; the Fibro, or the meds.

If it is the meds today, what do you do? The Fibro is not giving me any trouble.

Tell your doctor what you have told me. It may be okay to stop some of your meds cold turkey. But others, it may not be safe. Find out from him what you can do.

Thanks Starr

I called the dr. office and she will be in in Friday. I have an appointment then so we will see. Also, just went for a massage and it was wonderful. She really worked out the kinks - so to speak. She has Fibro as well and she has a really tender touch, gave me some good infor too. YEA!!!

Please make sure you drink plenty of water after that massage. Sometimes getting the "kinks" worked out means that toxins are released into your bloodstream. There have been times that I have felt great right after the massage but then the next day ~ whammy!

I also agree with what Starr said about the side effects of meds. Maybe if your doc doesn't want you to go off the meds, the dose can be decreased a bit to help you not suffer such effects.

Best of luck to you! {{{HUGS}}}

Coolmamma,

Thanks - will do. That is one of the things she warned me about. Drinking clear liquids that is, she said a good rule of thumb is to drink 1/2 my body weight in oz a day of clear liquids, water, tea, what have you. But drink drink drink the liquids!!!
