MDJunction to me

"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

hi everyone im 23yrs old i was dx early this year but think ive had fm 9- 10 yrs. im trying to find out about some lumps on my leg.. i got the first one about 12 months ago its on the front of my lower leg, quite big and doesnt hurt, its reasonably solid but seems to be trapped liquid or something? it feels a bit numb when i touch it. i just got a second 1 about a month ago on my right thigh as well there was pain prior to it appearing. ive seen a nz web site that talks of fibrin lumps on the left leg in the same places but no mention of it on any other site? i have lots of small solid painful lumps in my arms but the legs ones are different. does anyone else have them?

Welcome to the group Janenz, I was told the lumps were due to built up toxins in the body. My massage therapist would rub them out which was painful but they would go away!! Hope that helps!!

Hi Jane, and welcome to our group. We have a searchbox feature here where you can type in anything (like lumps) and it will take you to a page of discussions and articles on that subjest. You might give that a try. Please keep us posted on how you're doing.

Hi Jane welcome to our fibro family. I don't know anything about the lumps but I love to learn of new conditions and how different doctors are treating them. Keep us posted on your treatments.

You might try doing some research on the guaifenesin protocol. It's supposed to help clear accumulated toxins from the body. If that's what is causing the lumps it may help.

I have those lumps all along my arms. I'm just beginning to get them in my legs.

I have pretty severe fibro. I have one on my arm that hurts right near the elbow and the doc wants to biopsy it.

I have heard some say that it is calcium deposits and that take guaifenesin is supposed to help. I have been taking it for a year now and it hasn't helped at all in my case. I still continue to get more lumps.

They drive me crazy.

thanks for all the advise guys i've read a bit about the guaifenesin treatment, the page i checked out was q+a from people using it there was some pretty scarry questions about puss coming out of their skin, rashes and really painful urination. the answers seemed to be stay on it.. its working. im not sure that i want to go thru that kinda stuff my arm lumps really hurt but theyve been like that 4 about 7 years so im used to it, also they are alot better since i got out of my stessful travel agency job! the leg lumps dont hurt but scare me a bit. do u guys on guaifensin have any probs with it?

I don't have any problems or side effects taking the guai. I show no signs that it is helping me, but on the other hand it is only a supplement, and I still have hope.
