Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great Christmas, pain free, of course. I'm new to this board and have been suffering with first cfs which felt like having mono for two years then the pain set in, first in my shoulder blades then all over. I've been on ssd for as long as I can remember but having a masters in philosophy, I feel as if this damn disease(s) have taken all I wanted from life away. I do have a new rheumy who gives me a little hope but I distrust doctors and their quick narcotic fixes to cover up my pain. Never did actually take the pain away, just made me not care about it or for that case, anything else. I'm hoping to find some friends because I'm usually stuck at home and have some very difficult days. I have anxiety and depression which obviously comes from being in pain every damn day for over 13 or so years. It could make anyone crazy. There are days that I feel like a complete lunatic. I'm looking forward to meeting you all and learning what works and does not work for you. All of my best, Kelley |
