Hi candiwit. I am so glad you found us. I toltally understand your frustrations with work and family. I am on Lyrica and am one of the ones it has helped alot. I had improvement within the first week although it took about 4 weeks to have full effect from it. I hope you will be one that it helps. I couldn't use the Cymbalta either. I had a bad reaction that required an ambulance because I had difficulty breathing. You will find that with all the medicines out there everyone is so different in what works for them. So read the posts get ideas about things you can discuss with your Dr. and most importantly make friends

Hey - I have the funk feeling that you are talking about... and yes, it's cyclical - when I'm pms-ing... i'll do AnYTHING to avoid work. I take lyrica - I couldn't get out of bed without it.. I'm on a pretty high dosage - 225 pm, 75 am, & cymbalta. I take pain meds daily & muscle relaxers too - I'm finding my way.. this site is incredible - and you'll find you are going to get tougher every day... i think you have to.
Things turn out best for the people who make the best of the way things turn out.

Hey candiwit....

I have the same trouble with my boyfriend; he also "doesn't really understand". My boyfriend is the greatest, one day we'll be married with children, but he doesn't really make and effort to understand completely EVERYTHING about me...my Fibro. Sometimes I think that he's a bit scared of it and frustrated with it, just like I am....

Your Lyrica dosage will be completely dependent on what works best for you. It's like trial and error...I hope it helps you....I'm waiting to try it when I get insurance next month.

Oh and about feeling worthless -

I know that I feel that way on occasion too (my Lexapro helps me not feel like that). It really hurts to feel worthless, but you must know that you are not worthless when you come here. We all need each other's guidance and we all learn from each other's experiences. So, when you post and reply to others, you are worth it! You are worth it b/c you endure a struggle that most don't understand and many don't care to understand. Everyday you are faced with how to conquer life everyday wondering if the pain and exhaustion will ever stop! Everyone here is worth something to someone here and each of us is just as important to another, without each other, we would be lonely individuals without that feeling of common understanding with other human beings.
