I appreciate y'alls prayers and concern in regards to Donald and his family, there is no news yet, so let's not give up, and as far as my flare..it's not as bad as it was, my GERD is acting up and I know it's gross to say but every time I lean/bend over it fills my mouth and my chest and stomach is on fire. I am taking NEXIUM still, and have tried several remedys for immediate bouts with it, to no avail. How about replying to my post with your ideas of OTC, in case there's one I haven't tried yet..? Thanks. I love you all.....thank you deeply for your support and for caring.

I have been on Nexium for years and it had worked great up until recently now I have to also take something like tums. I understand what you mean. I have exactly the same problem.

I take papaya enzyme, nexium, gaviscon, and often end up taking tums also for the GERD and related symptoms. I will continue to add you and your friend to my prayers.

Try the papaya enzymes. It helps mine if I take it before I eat and the pills taste pretty good if you like papaya, that is. It helps coat the stomach from the acid or something... not quite sure how it works but any improvement is good. My bf's mom told me about them after a dr. told her. She has been taking them for awhile now. You get them at GNC or other stores of that nature. I hope you find relief soon!!
