MDJunction to me

aTinaL"To me, Mdjunction comes down to motivation. The support and information I have found here motivated me to take a very proactive stance regarding my illness. This led me to find medication and doctors that are giving me my life back.
More important than even the motivation, though, is the friendship I have found at MDJ. I have made some of the best friends of my entire life right here in this group. Even though most of us have never met, it feels as if we have known each other for years.
If Angels walk among us, and I believe that they do, most of them are here at MDJ.

Hello everyone, I'm new here. I've been diagnosed with Fibro for about two years now. I think I've actually been suffering with it for the past ten...maybe even longer. Sick I've got a quick question for anyone. Does anyone else have trouble walking from time to time? I've had days where I couldn't even get out of bed.

Thanks.

Hi tired and welcome to our forum and wonderful family. The answer to your question is Yep. There are days where I have to use my cane and days when I can get by. Today was the non walking day. I was bouncing off walls this morning. Now I'm half way OK.

hello & Welcome Tired. I have problems walking. Somedays my legs ache and hurt, somedays they are so very tired and heavy I can hardly lift them and other days.......well I'm a klutz and trip over thin air. The klutzy days are the ones I dread, I'm always afraid I'm going to fall and break a bone

I've been having problems for some time now. My legs hurt me all the time. I just saw my dr and he agreed to take me off Cymbalta and see if my weight will come back down. I told him the higher my weight goes, the higher my blood pressure goes and the more my legs hurt and he agreed. It's scary to do but I've got to find an answer somewhere.

Oh, and he said that the two drugs being used for Fibro are Cymbalta and Lyrica which definitely puts on weight.

Hi tiredoftired and Welcome to the group ...

I am newly diagnosed (May '08) with Fibro but am sure I ve had it for more years than I care to think about.

In answer to your question, yes, sometimes I DO have problems walking. Mornings are usually the worst when feet/legs don t want to move. Other times I notice myself more or less walking to the right . Weird feeling for sure ...

The only pain I have in my legs happens during the night. If I am lying on one side or the other, my thighs pain something awful. I usually turn flat on my back and sleep the rest of the night.

Hello and welcome! Yes, sometimes I experience difficulty walking due to pain in my feet, knees, and fatigue. The problem is if you don't walk, the pain increases. So, try to walk as much as possible...start out slow.

I definetely have trouble walking. On some days it is worse and some days are ok. I fall about 3 to 4 times a week. My muscles just won't hold me up and my hips and knees slide out of socket. It's really hard when every step you take hurts.

Hi Tired of tired,

I'm newly diagnosed and new to this site too. It's great, isn't it?

Yes, I have problems with dizziness and half the time when I stand up my feet don't quite do what I want them to. I'm constantly going over sidewise & hitting the wall, the coffee table, my desk...

I've always been a klutz but this is getting ridiculous!
