And, in reading the pamphlet that accompanies descriptions with it, I keep seeing it is for depression.

I don t have depression !!! So, before starting it on Monday, I am definitely going to call Rheumy office and find out what he thinks he prescribed it to me for .

I thought he said last week that it would give me more energy because I m still tired all the time.

Anyone here have any input ? TIA...

I think that it might be like cymbalta in the fact that it can help with long term pain but I may be wrong about that.

My next door neighbor takes Wellbutrin for her panic attacks. She was on it for years then weaned herself off of it cause she said that it made her feel "not herself" and she wanted to be normal again. I know Wellbutrin is also used by Drs to help people stop smoking. My cousin uses it for her depression and she loves it but said it made her gain weight. So I guess it can be used for many different conditions.

yes, Its almost like taking cymbalta, i cant believe your doctor has you on both, I know sometimes they have you taper off the cymbalta nd to start the welbutrin. You need to call and find out for sure why he gave you this. Cinn...

Sometimes other drugs are used for other things that are not listed. Sometimes there might be two drugs that you are on that work together. When I was on wellibrutin they put me on other antidepressants to see if things worked better.

Janilee, Hi ...I don t have panic attacks either and I m not trying to quit smoking so what is he doing to me ?

I am definitely going to call his office on Monday BEFORE I take that first pill. Guess maybe I should have paid more attention to what he was trying to tell me.

Cinnamon, by ""both"" do you mean Lyrica AND Wellbutrin ?

I take Lyrica and Cymbalta currently. I took Welbutrin several years ago to help even out my mood swings during PMS. Not only did it help in that regard, but I was able to quit smoking. One of the side effects I noticed was it was difficult for me to fall asleep the first month, so maybe it is supposed to help fatigue. Interesting...I look forward to abetterday's response.
