Thank you so much for the reply, it is nice to know there is someone out there!

The x-rays showed I guess osteo-arthritis, he said it was normal aging...I am 43 years old, not 63 years old. Though most days I feel like 83 years old. He also said, unfortunately there is nothing that we can do about it. lol

Some days I just feel like saying, "sure, if there is anything else, just pile it on".

I cry most of the time because I have 2 beautiful granddaughters that want to spend time with me, but, I never have the energy for them.

I was told a few years ago that I have very low seratonin, as well as b12, I never really paid much attention.

well then it sounds like the treatment plan is right on track. I know none of want's to belive we need to take anti depressants and other medications. But It sounds like these would help. I know what you mean about age I'm 44 and my 87 year old grandmother moves better than me. Now that's depressing. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress

Hello all.....hope this evening has you all somewhat well!

I have been better, not very good few weeks here for me, as is the rest of you I'm sure. Got my new pillow. lol Don't like it though, trying to get used to it, gotta give it a shot, don't I? It is a cervical pillow, my doc says I have Cervical Degenerative Disc Disease, all I know is, it hurts like...well, you know what I mean.

I have not seen hubby since Jan. 3rd, so that puts a downer on my whole demeaner. He is away at work, hoping to see him around the end of this month, got my fingers crossed anyway. So, I have been in a lot of pain, more depressed than usual, just trying to get through each day. If it wasn't for my babies(cats), and my grandbabies,I am not sure where I would be.

Sorry to ramble. I'll shut up now

Dodo

Hi DOdo,

I'm so sorry for how your feeling!! I understand that feeling of hoplessness. I've also have gone thru some bad weeks and sometimes it just gets to you.

With this illness you can feel very alone so please come back here whenever you need the support. Sometimes when we share our thoughts and that helps not only us but yourself also!

I have some grandkids and I just keep going for them. Though at times it's to much and that's a real bummer!

Have you thought that perhaps you need to find another doc? He doesn't sound real supportive if I remember correctly about what you said.

It's usual for the docs to try anitdepressants for better sleeping, unfortunately some docs think that's what we need is a sleeping pattern and everything will go away! Well, that's CRAP!!!

I hope you keep coming back for the support you need as well it helps us, ok?

Take care and hang in there, your not alone!

Yes I have, but, the trouble is here there is no others, if I leave him, I have no one....so, I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. Keep a crappy doctor or have none.

Anyway, I finally found someone who can get me a referral to see the rheumy in town, yes, there is only of those here. Just keeping my fingers crossed as to an appointment time.

And all I have for pain is Tylenol, he won't give me anything, and lately, that is just not cutting it! I need, not even sure what I need!

Thanks Spruce, I was feeling alone, very alone.

I definitely relate to a lack of good doctors. Their all so scared of the DEA coming down on them.To me, their cowards. They should gang up on the govnt. and remeind them who's the doc and who's not! (ooohh, I mind a rhyme )!

I guess I should be grateful I even have him. Hubby has no doctor, father in law and son in law do not either. And, apparently a few more doctors are retiring, so those ppl won't have a doctor. I am not sure how old my doc is, but, he definitely has a lot of gray hair, so, it is just a matter of time before he retires, his father in law, who shares the practice with him is retiring before the summer.
