It's now becoming so real . . . I live in Portland Or . . . but I can longer tolerate the cold and humidity. Now we (my husband and 2 children) are relocating to Phoenix Az. Aside from the warmth and dry climate I am looking forward to being closer to my family. I'm a California girl, but I fell in love with the beauty of Portland . . . I only wish my body would have been more accomadating . . .Has any one done what I am doing or going through it or contemplating it. We have built a wonderful life for ourselves here over the last 8 yrs . . . but we are looking forward to the hope that awaits us

the packing is a pain . . . and we would get someone to pack . . . but we decided to take just the personal belongings in a 5x8 trailer. I have had to do a lot of sorting . . . going through 11 yrs of mariage and children's toys . . . we have lived in our home almost 7 yrs. It has been not just physically draining but emotionally also . . .but the pay off is definately worth it

We had lived in the other house for over 30 years. We owned our home so when we movedtino the M-I-Ls house we just moved what we need right then. WE still have stuff over at the other house and sometimes have to walk over and get something we need.

I lived in Ark, and moved to Florida because I could not take the cold winters there. The move was hard on me, but one of the best things I could have done. Back when I did move, I did not know I had fibro. I did not find out for another 2 years. Just because I did not have a name for it at the time does not mean I did not have it.

One of the best tips I can give you is on labeling your boxes. I put what room they are going into and I write an inventory list on the top of the box. I have found that it makes it a lot easier that way when it is time to unpack. you can put the boxes in the room they need to go into as they come threw the door and you will be able to tell how important it is to get it unpacked right away. Oh one other tip I learned from my mother. Packt the toilet paper last. That way it is also the first thing to get unpacked.

In the summer the humidity does bother me. I stay in the house most of the time in the summer during huricane season. We get a lot of rain and the humidity is high. If I spend to much time out in the humidity, my feet swell and I have trouble walking. I would much rather stay in the air conditioning then deal with the winter time with all the snow and ice. I could not deal with it. I spent more time in and out of the hospital then I did at home.
