Just wondering if anyone has dealt with alot of infections? I tend to get alot of UTI's although I haven't in awhile. But several months ago, during a 13 month period, I was treated for app. 20 of them.

The crammed so many antibiotics down my throat I thought I would scream. I had a CT Scan, IVP, Cystoscopy, and was even sent to a Nephrologist and all was normal, for the most part.

I was told at one point that I had Chronic Cystitis then the doctor just left town without informing any of his patients, so who knows whether he was telling the truth, or not.

I always have an elevated white blood cell count in my body at any given time, often run low grade fevers, have microscopic blood in my urine and sometimes it's so cloudy it's white

There are so many other illnesses that can mimic FMS that I'm worried and don't know if I even really have this. NO ONe will do adequate testing on me other than a CBC every now and then and today I had a TSH (don't know results from that yet. 2 months ago it was 2.15) They put me on Levoxyl.

Really tired of feeling like crap

Any advice is appreciated

You can call the the hospital where you had tests done and ask for all your records. They will give them to you without a problem. You should be able to read the reports or bring them to your doctor to interpet what the say. Those reports are your and you have every right to them.

I have gotten several of my important test results, but I would really love to know everything. Think I will start doing that. You mean I can actually find out what the doctor's interpretations are and everything? If that's the case then I know I am going to.

Thanks

Those are yours. You paid for them with your co-pay and insurance. I have two huge binders of all my records from my doctor visits and hospital tests, MRI, x-rays,Cscan. That was how I won my disability case. When I hired a laywer who only got paid when I won the case, I turned over the information to him and he didn't have to ask for any information, he had it all there. If he would have had to ask for things I would have been charged more.

Take charge and make noise, noone else will do that for you!

Barbara's right ---Make some noise! The records are yours. Never be afraid of stepping up and getting involved in your healthcare. Physicians don't remember everything and it is good to stay up on all that is going on with your health. Especially when you are dealing with fibro which brings in so many other health issues. I went the first year and a half with almost no testing because my doctor was one of the "ho hum" physicians that told me he was treat the spot on my thyroid after he treated my headaches. He never did any labs. If he did he would have found out that I was severely B12 and Vit d defecient. Then when I finally go him to test my thyroid he didn't think he needed to treat it. This is when I left. I changed doctors. I am on meds for all three plus a BP med. I wonder if I would have gotten this bad and gained this much weight if my first doctor had treated me correctly.

I have to tell you that the last straw was when I went to the office of a doctor that I had been a patient at for 10 years and I had worked with in the hospital for 14 years and he said to he " You look different, did you change your hair?" I looked at him and I wanted to say, No idiot I can barely walk and I have gained 40 pounds!

I guess what I am trying to say is don't be afraid to take care of yourself and like Barbara says---

Make some Noise!

I have a copy of all my records from every doctor, hospital and outpatient facility I have ever been to. Go get them, fighter. You do find out more when you get your records.

Oh, I don't have a problem making noise In fact I can downright roar But I aske these nuts and they act like they don't want to fool with it or give me the bare minimum. I would love to have My entire medical history from my family doctor, not to mention all of my tests

I'm so tired of dealing with an incompetent physicians.

And I don't think I ever really had the Chronic Cystitis. I think it is all related to the Fibro. or whatever the hell I have. And I think all the antibiotics were keeping me sick, if that makes sense. I started refusing them and I don't get them anymore. I still have the cloudiness every now and then but it was progressing into full blown pyleonephritis (kidney infection)

I too have copies of my records from each doctor. I think I have them more for me- cause I want to know what they put in them. But they are good to have for SSD to.

Also, I don't really get a lot of infections. But I bruise really, really easily. And, when I get a cut or scratch, it takes a very long time to heal. Often times when they finally heal, they leave scars.

Have you been checked for Lupus or Schloderma (sp?)???

Some of your symptoms sound like Lupus symptoms. But that would show up in a blood test. There are multiple things that take part of the Lupus thing. Just wondering.
