Hello all, I am new here, my name is Jill, I have been suffering with Fibro for all of the 32 years of my life. It had taken my mother and I 31 years to get a diagnosis, I had seen several doctors, and been told many times that I am a hypochondriac or that I was displaying drug seeking tenancies, among several of the other things that us Fibromytes are told on our search to find answers.

I am experiencing a lot of problems right now that I had not previously experienced, such as severe burning pain, skin irritation from clothing, morning foot pain and stiffness, and a lot of other things! I thought that things couldn't get any worse..and yet every day they seem to get a LOT worse!

It is nice to have found this place so that maybe I can feel not so alone, or so weird!

I am Jill, THIS is not all in my head, and NO I am not crazy!

the bra seems to be my mortal enemy, a weird 19th century torture device most obviously designed by a man!

Welcome to the group. You can't find a better group of caring, supportive people.

I know how you feel, seems like everyday something new crops up. I don't have the skin burning sensation, yet.

I do have the morning foot pain and stiffness. I have found it helps me before I get out of bed, to stretch my feet and ankles. I point my toes up, then down, make circles with my feet. I do that while hubby is in the bathroom, nice amount of time to get them woke up.

Welcome Jill, I too have the morning stiffness and feel like I am about 100 years old, and been run over by a truck. There are certain types of cloth that I just can't stand to have near my skin, it's like having a sunburn everywhere. I take a nice warm shower in the morning just to wake myself up and relax enough to walk to the car. Glad you found our fibromite family, you will find some of the best people here.
May life always bring you laughter.

When I wake in the morning my hands and feet are puffy. Yesterday was so bad you couldn't see my ankles the swelling was so bad. I am purple where my ankles are suppose to be. It felt so funny. I couldn't bend the feet and the toes were so cold. This lasted until late afternoon.

Morning stiffness is the worst. My hands and feet are very swollen. I have a hard time getting up and walking. I now have my cane at the side of my bed to help me get to the bathroom. It takes about 2 hrs before I can make a fist, my hands are so swollen, and I have to wear loose slippers. I am almost 53 but I feel like I am 153. And my family on both sides have tremendous longetivity, seems every one lives well into their 90s. So i guess i have a lot to look forward to in my old age

Hi im new too. Yeah i have the morning stiffness and all that. and i know what you mean about finding a place where you don't feel weird...cuz i feel like no one around me understands what i'm going through...and sometimes they think i'm making it all up.

I have bad skin irritations....itchy sometimes...break out in skin rashes alot....not allergic to anything...gone though all that testing too so must be from the FM....
