nhlflagg, I am sorry that you are feeling badly. In reference to your rheumy saying to go back to your internist, that is sometimes very common. The rheumy who diagnosed me with fibro doesnt treat fibro, that doesnt make a lot of sense does it. She refers you back to your internist. But internist can do the same as rheumy so I dont mind.

Does you family doctor help you out and give you the right meds or send you to any other places if you need to go. This is all new to me. I am on 2 different muscle relaxers and a pain med. I am also on something for my stomache, I can't take things like advil because they kill my stomache. I have been on something to help me sleep and an antidepressant for a very long time anyways.

My internist gives me all the meds I am on except for my heart pills. She gives me my pain pills also. If I need a test, she schedules it.

Hi all! I am back to my family doctor now untill he sends me somewhere again. I use 25mcg fentanyl for pain and topimax to ward off migraines. I am now on Lyrica. Not sure if it is helping much, and also on cymbalta which I know is not helping. I go back on friday.

Please let me know how the cymbalta and lyrica work. I'm going to see the rhuematologist next week and am already taking Neurontin, but it isn't helping. Hugs to you. I'm off to get my mri reports from the clinic. Be well.

The Lyrica is helping a little bit but honestly I am not sure yet if it is enough for the 35.00 a month. I am going to keep taking it for a while though. I take 100mg 3x a day. The cymbalta I am taking for depression and I have always been very med resistant in that department but its only been a month and I know its not helping yet. I take 20 mg of that. I am going to go in to my psychiatrist at the end of july and get that fixexed up. (thats the soonest they can get me in)

Good luck

I'm "lucky" I guess cause hubby is Army and we have free medical care, even tho it's pretty crappy, lol. I have been getting the run around for 3 years and I was even told last year I had MS, which really caused me a lot more stress. I was the one who did the research and figured out it was fibro, and now they don't know what to do, I have threatened to call the news if they dont get it together and so I'm going to a rhuematologist, and they are finally figuring it out,I have all of my medical records and you could compare it to any firbro website, I have almost every symptom...good luck to you. Have you tried neurontin? It worked with me in the first few days, but then kinda fizzled out. I have a high tolereance as well. Thanks for writing to me, it's nice to talk to a kindred spirit. I'm so sick of being sick. hugs to you and dont give up. I"m on yahoo, too if you ever wanna chat. Take care. sorry about the typos, my stupid hands hurt, lol.
