 I don't beleive that everyone with FMS got it from having hormone problems. There are other causes as Spruce as stated. But I do think that they play a part and in my case was the problem along with allergies. As far as men go, they too have hormones and I know a few now that are being successfully treated with hormone treatment for their FMS. Most dr's don't test for them and I think they should just to rule out an imbalance especially in those that have had hysterectomy. Just my opinion.

 Hipmama...I am having the exact thing going on with me right now, with the whole cycle thing. And the pain with the cycles is so extreme. It stops me right in my tracks. I can't do anything..stabbing awful pain. So tired...my ob-gyn has no idea for me..says it's not an ob-gyn thing. Well, duh! LOL! This all started with the birth of my second son. Most of my friends and also the doctor thought at first it was just because I had my second son at 39.

Hampton7026...I so relate to what you wrote. I've just recently become very interested in homeopathic medicine. Bought a book and am reading thru it now. Hormone allergy, huh? This homeopathic remedy really prevents the pain? I've very intrigued with the natural approach...I'm not one that's too into taking meds. I've always been very healthy....and am quite particular about what goes into my body.

 wow....never thought of that either...my history is....raped at 15 went through hell from there on...never had periods right...first pregnancy through docs office two after ok...third pregnancy in and out of hospital through whole thing....salivatory gland removed in '05 two months after complete hysterectomy with complications (oh prior to that had to wear a bag for a month and no explanation for it...couldnt pee!) then last year had a fusion in lower back cause only 7% of disc was left in L5S1 now have had pain for years thought it was all my discs now find real reason....oh add to all this depression since the rape since everyone in my school found out and teased me left and right...been through two bad marriages and yes married for third time...really been on my own since kids were young....till now...(other marriages degraded me left and right) so now deal with this...what fun

 martyj4, I am so sorry for all the pain you have been in for so long. I am sure it has been a long road for you. I wish you nothing but sunshine and pain free days.
