MDJunction to me

saralaurie"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

I have been looking for an on-line support group when I finally found this one. It is so good to know that I am not alone!! I was dx over 9 months ago and have had little response to medications. I was even on Lyrica but the side effects were so bad and it didn't help anyways. My husband really does a lot of research for me. After awhile reading becomes a real chore. The letters start to all run together and nothing makes sense. I am on testosterone as an experimental treatment. It has helped, but not much. I was also dx with hypothyroidism in Feb and am now on meds for it as well. I don't know if that is good or bad. I am more alert, but now I hurt more

Welcome! This is a great board. I,like Joy, have had fibro for over 20 years! I am 52 but feel like I am 152 most of the time. There does seem to be a little bit more recognition of fibro since I was diagnosed so maybe someday we will be acknowledged.

Welcome to the group Debi. I was diagnosed with hypothryoid in Jan 06 and fibro Aug 07.

Boy can I relate to the reading. I used to be an avid reader and now I read the same paragraph over and over as it just doesn't make sense to me. Nowadays I pretty much can't stay awake to read. Heck I can't even look at the picures and keep them straight.

Welcome Debi, I was Dx with fibro last week too, although I have been feeling symtoms for a long time. This is a good place to find a lot of imformation and just talk to people that are going through the samethings you are.
