Hello -

My name is Jodi. I'm 35 yrs old, married with a 6 yr old daughter. I was just recently diagnoised with FM after what I now realize as several years of symptoms that have progressivly gotten worse over the last year.

My doctor has put me on Lexapro for day time and Elavil for night time. He started me off on 10mg of Lexapro and 25mg of Elavil which helped a little but I'm not as good as I would like to be. I just had my follow up appt with him today and he doubled both meds and added flexaril as well for the terrible knots I get in my upper back, shoulders and neck. I'm hoping I will continue to benefit from the meds as I have had little side effects from them so far. I look forward to getting to know everyone in the group and hopefully get some good advice on how to cope with life now.

Hi and welcome to this group. I am new also, but have been welcomed with open arms and hugs. I was diagnosed with fibro 7 years ago, but had symptoms probably 7 years before that. It seemed that for a while my meds were constantly being adjusted or changed, but finally the doctor found the right drug combinations. Just hang in there.

Welcome to the greatest group of fibromites anywhere. You are going to love all the support you get here.
May the sun bring you new energies by day,
May the moon softly restore you by night ,
May the rain wash away any worries you may have,
And the breeze blow new strength into your being,
And then, all the days of your life,
May you walk gently through the world, and know it’s beauty and yours.
A Native American Blessing
