I have had similar dreams too. I usually know I am dreaming and try so hard to wake up but I can't. Then I try to scream but nothing comes out. I keep thinking if I could move or scream or something then maybe my husband will wake me up but I just can't do it.

When I finally do wake up I am exhausted and just cry because it was so terrifying and there was no one there to help me. This has happened to me for many, many years. I just assumed it was like a terrible nightmare.

Another odd, sleep related (actually before I fall asleep) issue I notice is that many times I will get in bed and feel like I am spinning. I spin in all directions and feel like I am floating over my bed. My body feels numb. Sometimes I can even change the direction that I spin in. It was almost a nightly thing when I was a teen/pre-teen. Now, not so much but it still happens.

I know, I am weird.

Well it would be nice if at least we could have more knowledge on this. I am going for an MRI of the brain on June 4th, don't know if that would show anything regarding this or not. But the doctor who said I over react is sending me for it.

Actually, when I was younger, I did think it was cool. Until I told my boyfriend at the time about it. He looked at me like I had just dropped in from Mars. I guess I am easily entertained.

It's been a long time since I experienced the same thing never really gave it any thought till I read this, but when I was younger I would wake up (maybe) who knows. But I would become aware that I couldn't move or lift myself up, had a hard time breathing like something was sitting on my chest and my heart would be beating so fast. It's been nearly 10 years since I experienced it. I don't know if it has anything to do with the Fibro.

I get that feeling like some one is sitting on my chest and trouble breathing a lot too, besides pain and weird heart beat. Sometimes I feel like my heart is giving all its got to beat and I am so weak and am exhausted just walking up the stairs or little tasks. Maybe with this dreaming issue its cause they say people with fibro have a sleep disorder, they don't hit the 4th stage of sleep.

I have this to. My hubby says i kick and thrash around in the bed most of the night and he tries to wake me up to settle me down but i wont wake up. If the phone rings or the kids talk to me i talk back but when i wake up i dont remember what i said just the fact it happened, does that make sense? Hubby says no wonder i hurt so bad in the mornings because of all the moving and thrashing around i do at night.

It does make sense maybe only to us but I am always asking my husband if I said or did something in my sleep and if so what I said or did cause I remember something happening just not what. I don't know alot of time if I am dreaming or if it really happened.
