Well my hubby pulled me over to him last night. Nothing hard, nothing severe yet my ribs acted like he was squishing me to death. Like he'd just took a bat to me or something. The rib cage wentinto spasms and I couldn't breathe cause it hurt so bad. After that more pain all night. It had already started to limit my movement in my neck and arm. Now I can't even pull my hair into a pony tail. I can't raise my arm that much. I called the ortho but the nurse said they don't take care of that type of stuff so I left a message requesting a referall to someone who does. This has GOT to be fixed and soon. I can't handle it anymore.

I'm 28 and yet have more problems and more drs than my 85 year old grandmother. It's disgusting. It's frustrating. It's tiring.

Amy~

Am so sorry to hear about your pain. I think I know what you are feeling. I experience the same type of pain. I just had an MRI of my shoulder recently and they want to do surgery to fix a small tear in the rotator cup and go in and clean up some arthritis and fix some frayed muscles.

The cardiologists won't clear me for surgery, so it has to wait. I see the cardiologist again next Friday and need to schedule some tests to see if I can be cleared for surgery after tests are done. I may need to have a procedure or two done on my heart for clearance.

It is so very painful when you cannot lift your arm to even do your hair. Try to get in ASAP!! You don't want that shoulder to freeze up completely. Good luck Amy and I hope you start to feel better soon.

I cannot even reach dishes in my cupboards to take them down for dinner. Hubby has to help. It is a pain in the butt and frustrating, and I know even more frustrating for you because you are so young. Mhy prayers are with you.

Hugs~

Christine

It's not really the shoulder. That does have rotator cuff tendonitis(chronic) and impingement syndrome, but that's it. It's the ribs. The whole right side from my spine around to my breasts and straight down to the bottom of the rib cage. It's bad. I have had 4 broken ribs, 3 of which were on the right in the back. I don't know if that's connected or not. Hopefully he'll refer me to the right person. I don't even know who'd deal with that.

So sorry to hear about this Amy! I have pain in my ribcage also, off and on. I understand how you feel when you say you can't breathe. Mine is all on my left side, though, for some reason. Please try to get in to some doctor quick, though, just to make sure there's nothing else going on!

Amy when I was having a lot of problems with my ribcage, my osteopath did the only painful adjustment she ever did, she kind of shoved hard on my chest and held it for a momemnt. I thought I would pass out it hurt so bad but as soon as she let up I took the first deep breath I'd had in ages.

Maybe you should see if you can either find a DO who does adjustments (not all do) or a massage therapist who is well versed in fibromyalgia.

I hate to think of you in even more pain. I wish I could take it on for you, I would do it if I could.

Last time I had an adjustment for a rib bone that had come out of alignment with my spine, I got 4 broken ribs out of it. I had 3 of them before it set back right.
