 I've been on Lyrica for about five months now. I started at just 75 mg at night. Now I am taking 50 mg at night and 50 mg in the morning. I've recently started noticing that anytime I walk into a store, whether it be a grocery store or walmart or target, I get extremely dizzy and over-stimulated. I think maybe it has something to do with the noise, lights, and everything going on around me. This evening I went out to eat with my husband and the noise in the restaurant made me almost throw-up. I know that dizziness is a side-effect of the medicine but is it normal for it to be this severe? Has anyone else noticed any kind of sensory-stimulation side-effects? If anyone else has recently increased there Lyrica dosage I was wondering how long the dizziness lasts? I don't think I can take another day of it but I'd hate to decrease now if I'm almost to the point of the side-effects leveling out. Does anyone have any suggestions?

 I work at target, take Lyrica 50mg 3x a day. Just started it last thursday and when I an at work...BAM all of a sudden I feel drunk. Is it like that?? Its not helping me anyway but my doc wants to keep me on it anyway. Pisses me off.

 Yes, it is kind of liking being drunk, only a really bad drunk. The 75 mg was working for me at first but lately I've been a lot of pain again so my doctor increased my dose. I've only had a 25 mg increase but the side effects are ten times worst than before.

 I am waiting for them to call me back. I need something in the meantime for my pain. I cant live like this. The Lyrica is not helping my pain at all so far but they want to wait TWO more weeks before they do anything else. How am I supposed to function???

 I started on 150mg in the morning and at night about six weeks ago. Immediately I felt the "oh my god I feel drunk" and called my doctor. He decreased my dosage to 75mg am and pm. Felt much better. He just increased my dosage again to 150mg at night and 75mg in the morning. So far so good but he wants me to increase the day back to 150mg in about a week.

It takes a couple of weeks for the Lyrica to start working. That is probably why your doctor is saying stick with it. The side affects do change in a couple of weeks, making it more tolerable. It is working on me, but I am worried about increasing the daytime dosage again. It is not easy

 I am taking 150mg twice a day and also have some Tramacet for my "really" bad days. I have found that the Lyrica has put everything into the back ground a "bit" but there are more and more days that I have what I call "anesthetic sleepiness" where my body is falling asleep without any say or control from me. I did have this before taking the Lyrica too though.... I also don't have a diagnoses as of yet and am getting tested by a nero doc and my rhemi has put me on hold to see what the nero guy is going to do. I haven't gained any of the weight that most say they do on Lyrica; I am still skinny as hell! (although I am not eating very well as I am usually too sleepy or weak to make a real meal and the hubbys version of something to eat is a sandwich or mac and cheese! (I still love him though as he tries!!!)

 I am willing to stay on this, I just NEED something else for the pain. I CAN NOT and WILL NOT live like this for two more weeks. I would rather be dead than be in this much pain. I am tired of fighting and today is my last day of doing it. If they dont call me back and help me out in some way, I have had it.

 I don't know what Tramacet is but have you tried that? It has helped on the days where I feel like I am that girl from the Freddy Gruger movie, where he is making a puppet out of her with her tendents. It has stopped my body from bursting into tears on it's own from the intense pain and has lasted long enough for it to calm down I guess. Remember though that I have no idea what I have or really what my meds do or don't do for me. I do hear you and totally feel for you and wish you some release.

 I know the Dr. never seem to completly understand the amount of pain we are in on a daily basis. I have added advil to help with the pain as well. The doctor has added nothing for the over the top pain, so I do the advil. Mine has hit my knees the past few weeks which makes going up and down stairs nearly impossible. I feel like Im 90 years old.

 Here is the deal..my doctors, who are supposed to help me, wont try anything else. Right now for pain all I am on is Lyrica 50mg 3x a day and methocarbam 750 2x a day. They have not even got into my migraines yet!! We have tried a couple of other things that have not worked but HELLO there is plenty of other stuff to try!! I am so agitated and that makes stuff worse!
