Well I thought there was hope for the suboxone but my doctor let me know that he wasn't going to put me on the suboxone I found that to be very depressing. I don't know what is going on with me but I feel like I am losing it I have all these phobia's and I am freaking out. I realize my thinking isn't right but yet I can't control all these things I am worried about and I can't stop the thoughts that keep coming into my head. I don't know what to do. donna

aww Donna I hate to see you in pain whether it's mentally or emotionally or even just physically...We've all had our times in the shadows of pain no matter where or how it originated. Truthfully I'm getting more and more angry about how so many Doctors so EASILY disregard what we say and really don't care enough to "own" our health. Dear friend all you can do is get up and go on. Take care of you the way your own mother would have been your best advocate! There HAS to be ONE doctor that will care enough to give you what it will take to make you feel better...I am exactly in that same spot...I couldn't even get the doc I saw to CALL ME BACK when I left a msg that the three drugs he tried to give me were all on my allergy list!! What kind of MORON does it take to strike out 3 in a row???

We love you..and you know we are here for you..but we are not in your home where we can make sure you are ok....so do us a favor and take care of you!

With Him we "live" no matter the circumstances. At His feet peace of mind can be found. Peace that passes all understanding is my quest now and forever.

Numbers 6:24-26
"The LORD bless you and keep you;the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace."

Donna I'm so sorry you're in a dark place right now... Please try and put yourself in a place that'll allow you to clear your mind... Sounds like maybe you're under too much stress right now, and worry, etc... I hope you can just sort of relax a bit, take deep breaths, and mellow out... Try to get a good nights rest tonight & see how you feel in the morning. Do you have anyone you can go to for counseling? That might be a good idea..? You're in my thoughts and prayers, Donna. Lots of love to you Smile {{{{Big Hugs}}}}

I'm so sorry Donna! I know you were really hoping to try suboxone. Have you thought about trying another doctor?

Donna,

I went on DrWeb and put in a search for drs that use suboxone and that were in 50 miles of me. I got a least of 5 and just started calling. I asked right away if they treat fibro and if they use Suboxone and are familiar with it. If they say no to either questions, I said thank you for your time, but I'm looking for a dr that does both of those things.

I hung up and tried the next.

Once I found one that did do both, I made an appt. I called my psychic./psychol., who lives in the same town, and asked her if she had heard of her and she said, yes, and it would be worth a try. So I went to the appt., and was very happy with the exam. She started me on the Savella and she said when I got on it and was doing ok than she would add the Suboxone.

I see her this Thur, so I hope she is still thinking that way.

Lots of luck and just keep looking and calling. They are out there.

Lots of hugs,

Debbie

Good for you Debbie!! I am happy to hear that. So many people are pain free on that, and wouldn't that be wonderful if we could all do that! I go to a new rheumy on November 16th and I am putting my request in too. We'll see what happens. I like the Savella, but the sweats just absolutely drive me crazy. Can't take em much longer. Can't sleep because I am hotflashing so very much. Keep us posted.

Hugs~

Christine

I'm so sorry, Donna. I know exactly how you feel. It's been three weeks since I talked in dept with my doctor about it. She was very receptive at the time but wanted to research and talk to other doctors before she made a decision. I've called each week since then and she said she was still researching. I am so depressed right now, thinking she may not give it to me and waiting in horrible pain. If she doesn't, I'm going to have to go through the process Debbie described and I don't know where I'll get the energy. I love my doctor but I MUST have this Suboxone. I resorted to asking a friend for a Oxycodone over the weekend and know now that is not an option for me. The vomiting, sweats, dizzyness and high feeling were way too much for me. I know Suboxone is going to make me sick too, but I'm willing to take a few days off work and go through it until it subsides.

Don't give up, Donna. I'm not ~ yet.

Donna, sweet friend, Heart plus prayers go out to you massively right now. What a nightmare for you to have your hopes crushed like this! Agree with Rayn- to seek out another doctor who will be more empathic/understanding/supportive with You as well as offering you the very best treatment for all your needs.

You may not feel it right now,yet you are very special as well as loved. People here care about you, too, including this Brit lady from Devon.

Praying that you will be surrounded by Angels (i) sweet Donna(i) circling you in love, guidance plus protection. Praying that you will find just the right doctor for You. Deep peace by Yours, too.

Never give up hope as the tide will turn for you soon. Keep on holding on tightly. Keep looking for the answers- they will come to you. Only be with people that lift up your spirits. Be in good places with good people. Try to focus on all that is positive.Be your own best friend, too- make good stuff happen for You + be kind to You.

Massive gentle hugs winging their way to you right now, love, Clarita Smile xoxoxoxo

Donna, I am so sorry to hear this news! I agree with Tara-these docs are frustrating me to no end!! Their over-inflated egos and/or lack of knowledge are causing too many people to be left untreated and in pain, which is the exact opposite of why they became doctors!! Please keep calling around because surely to God there has to be a doc that's at least willing to let you try it. My thoughts are with you!!
