I picked my daughter up from school yesterday and she told me that i complain alot and that i always say that i am in pain. She said that i remind her of her friend who always says that her heart hurts then she said she is such a liar. Keep in mind that she is 7 years old. I am normally not a emotional person but that really hurt my feelings. I mean if you own kid doesn't believe i can imagine what everyone else thinks my co-workers think im crazy and thats ok but my family, thats unacceptable, and her dad said that he didn't believe me until he saw the lyrica commercial. What is wrong with people? I mean at this point in my life i believe in unicorns, fairygodmothers,UFO's,Flying pink and purple pigs you name it. there isn't a person who could come to me and tell me they have a problem and me not believe it. Having FMS has really me matured me. I wish people would be more considerate.

Oh, yes that hurts. My kids haven't ever come out and said they don't believe me. Sometimes though, I think my older girls think I make it up so they will have to do more chores.

Have you sat down with her and explained what fibromyalgia actually is? I told my younger ones that it is like everything is super sensitive. Things that don't hurt them will hurt me. I explained a few other things too and they seem to understand to a degree. They are always willing to help out and my youngest comes to me several times a day to ask how I am feeling.

Maybe sitting down and explaining will help with you too.
