 I just joined the support group. I was diagnosed with FM in 1993. I was one of the lucky ones..I was working for a doctor who diagnosed me...I live in St. Louis Missouri and have been unable to locate a local support group and I really need a place to bounce ideas...

 Ditto, welcome and we are more than happy to listen to your thoughts, concerns, and ideas! Hopefully, you'll find someone that is similar to you here as a lot of us have. You've come to the right spot and writing is often more easy than talking in front of a bunch of people about your condition.

 do all the research you can. This is a nasty disease. read all you can, and I'm not sure what all your symptoms are, but when I was dx with fibro, I kept getting worse, I have 60 some symptoms,...I finally found out I also have lyme disease on top of it. Not good. I've been sick for 20 years....I'm only 29. as for the fibro, I have not found anyting that helps me. I think because of the underlying lyme. ask questions, poke around.

 I too live in St. Louis and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 2 years ago. I have been checking and there is not a support group listed here in St. Louis. The closest one I found is in Columbia. I was wondering if you have found one? If not I am seriously thinking about starting one myself through the fmaware.org. Let me know!
