MDJunction to me

"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

In my daily travels (and im sure you all heard this ) but they say that fibro could possibly be linked to HPV or LYME DISEASE! So has anybody been diagnosed with either?????

I have read that about Lyme. I have been tested for it 2x but tested neg. According to what I have read, the test is not that accurate. I don't know what they do if they suspect you have it but test neg.

There is some stuff coming out about Lyme Disease and the guidelines for diagnosing it. The guidelines have been questioned and I believe recently abandoned. Point being that diagnosing Lyme isn't just a cut and dried blood test unless you are in active disease. Lyme certainly can be misdiagnosed as can FMS. I've been tested 3x for lyme, ms and lupus. They throw me into FMS as a diagnosis as nothing else 'fits'. Not a Doc here, but do watch out for new Lyme disease testing, diagnosing guidelines coming out.

I know that this is going to sound stupid but what exactly is Lyme disease? I do not know if I have been checked or not. But I had a back injury when I was 16 yrs old and that is what some of the dr.'s are connecting the fibro to besides all of my trigger points & Tender spots

Hey Angel!

Lyme disease comes from being bit by an infected tick.

These ticks are all around me and have been since I first started feeling the symptoms of FMS. I have been bit many times (live in the woods) and am now careful about taking precautions. Symptoms of Lyme are very similar to FMS....... long time no see honey!

Thank you Willy. It has been a long time since I seen you had been on. I sure hope everything is going good for you. I now remember because we also have alot of ticks here also. One of my dogs have already had 2 this year and my daughter has had 3 on her. So we are already taken precautions.

Thank you again Willy, {{Soft & Gentle Hugs}} to you my friend.

Rita

I will admit that I have HPV. I got it when I was a teen. I have never heard that it has something to do with Fibro, thats interesting.

I have only had the one out break though from HPV though. I got it because my boyfriend I loved so much and even got his initials tattooed on me cheated on me all the freakin time, and broke my heart and gave the HPV!

HI..Lymes.... dang now there is a can of worms....

I was told by a doctor that I had Lymes..... well after much testing and all.... I even went to a lymes literate lab. and I was totally neg.....

I know many have been tested by the usual labs... but let me tell you this.... they don't have a clue..... you need to go to a lab that specializes in Lymes...... the test are more extensive..... and done under better controls......

Lymes does come from a tick.... the deer tick is the usual one... they are just little tiny specks...black in color.... the ones with the white spot on there back or responsible for Rocky MOuntain Spotted fever......

So ticks are not our friends...lol

If you have been bitten by a tick and come down with bad flu like symptoms within about two weeks.... see your doctor.. because he needs to start having you tested.....

Usual treatment for Lymes is antiobiotics... some times just pills but usually it goes to IV treatments.....

Craig...
