Anyone out there listening? I was diagnosed with fibro in February 08. I feel like I've had it at least 2 or more years. Anyway, be straight with me , will it get worse? Right now I work full time, I'm an art teacher. I'm getting stressed out at work. I feel bad most mornings but pull myself up and drive 40 minutes to work. I've missed 11 days since September 07. I don't have anymore days to use. I was reading some of the statements made about talking jibberish and can understand completely. My daughter just finishes my thoughts and sentences because shes use to it. But, please someone who has been on this road a while please answer my question. I'll be waiting.

Toni

Mine diffently has gotten worsee then when I first found out that I had it. But whether it does or not will be up to you, your meds and your doctor. If you can keep pushing through the pain it might take quite a while for it to get worse but then again it depends on so many things in your life. I hope that you do not get worse because that is something that I do not wish on anyone.

Right now mine is the worst it has ever been. I have had this for 8 years. But I did have a while where I was feeling awesome. Yea I was in pain but I could tolerate it, not like I am now where I dont know what to do most days.....Hopefully you will be able to find ther right type of treatment for you.

There is message, accupressure, accupunture, yoga, exersize, and so on... plus you will learn what you can and cant do and what causes your flare ups. Good luck to ya.

I thought I replied here, but my post is no where. Hmmm Wonder what I did with it? I just watched Sweeney Todd...NOT my idea of a good Johnny Depp movie!!

I hope you have a good team of Docs Toni. They can either make your treatment better, or make you want to scream and run. But there are good ones. I hope they figure out your program soon and get going what works best for you. How wonderful, an art teacher. Such a blessing of a job with the children!

Pamela {please}

I wish tons of love and hugs!

Mine defianantly got worse. From everything I have read if you get on top of it right away with diet and exercise, and the right meds, or vitamins then you have a way better chance at it not getting worse.

I unfortunately had no idea what was wrong with me for a long time. If I would have known I feel that I could have done a few things differently, but I'll never really know if it would have made a difference.

I hope that it doesn't get worse for you. You'll probably have to be very health concious if you don't want it to get worse. Now would be the time to join a gym and start some light exercise.

There should be plenty of books at the Library about living with Fibro and if you ask I now some of the people here know of some really good ones!
