That was a great article Rayne, thank you.

Thank all of you for your prayers, I believe in them too.

I am in such a horrible funk right now. The kind where you thought your life was one thing but reality tells you something different. It's very disheartening.

Love,
Casty

Awe Casty, I don't think you're alone there, probably most of us have had moments in life like that.

I often find myself thinking "this isn't how my life is supposed to be"... or "how can soo much happen in one year, or two years??"...

It is incredible how much can happen in one month, one year, etc... For me, sometimes it feels like my life was heading in one direction for a long time - and then around age 22, my life changed direction & every year that's gone by after that, the things that take place sometimes feel so foreign, I'll think "is this a bad dream?" or "has this really happened?"...

I guess this is what life is? Many different turns, hurdles, hardships, challenges, and then when great things happen - blessings & triumphs, it's even more special & we appreciate the "good times" so much more, because we know what it feels like to wonder "will things ever get better?", "what's next - another tragedy?"...

"And when it rains on your parade, look up rather than down. Without the rain, there would be no rainbow." --Jerry Chin

I hope and pray that you will get a very "big break", and you'll soon have some very special moments, blessed events, that will give you healing, a renewed spirit and an increased appetite for life at it's fullest!

xoxoxoxo

I hope things turn around for you really soon. I miss you around here but I certainly understand how tough it can be to hang out when everything around you seems to be turning to ca-ca. Bless you Casty!

Hugs

Oh hun. Hang in there. Surely there's a good dr coming up for you. It's frustrating to be in such pain and to go to the dr cause well that's what your supposed to do. That's what they are there for right? But no one actually wants to treat someone in pain because they are obviously drug seekers or too high maintanince or too high risk. It's crazy. Hold on. It's gotta get better at some point.

I am happy to report that the visit with the new doctor went very, very well. No, I did not get suboxone but I knew that chance was slim to none. She will be researching this tho.

She takes me very seriously. She takes what I say and looks at it from all directions.

She changed several of my medications, she has me stopping the Amitriptyline(that my other doctor swore would do the trick) and changed that to trazadone, for sleep. She changed my Zoloft to Effexor and she gave me T3's for a particularly difficult weekend I have coming up. She is looking into a compassionate care program for me to get on Lyrica and hopefully not have to have that expense come out of pocket as it is not one of the things they carry. I'm nervous about the Lyrica but I will give it a fair shake, who knows I may be one of the lucky ones it works for. She also may be putting me on Tramadol at some point as well.

She explained to me that while I did have kidney failure several years ago and we will watch my kidney function carefully she said that my kidney disease is at a level 3 which means that I can safely take these medications under close observation and that I should avoid nsaids as my rheumy suggested. (spit that one right into old doctor's eye!)

She set up another appt for November 2nd so we can continue getting to know one another and to see how things are doing. She is also referring me to Clinic II(mental health) to deal with not only my marriage problems but to deal with the depression from the loss of my former life. I should have been doing this all along but I am a stubborn woman. You should never combine Native American and Irish! lol Oh yeah my new doc has a British accent...lol kinda cool.

I think that's all for now.

I am feeling hopeful, that is something that has eluded me for awhile, esp lately. Hope is a wonderful thing.

Love,
Casty

Oh good gravy!

I forgot to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your love and prayers. I know that helped a great deal.

I appreciate you more than you could know.

Laura I'm so happy to hear you finally found a good doctor! Marilyn has had very good luck with Lyrica so maybe you will too. Effexor worked OK for me...I wouldn't mind being back on it but noooo, my counselor has me on Prozac which does NOTHING for my pain or my depression.....grrrrr...

I'm glad she gave you some painkillers too...I can imagine just having them in your possession must lower your anxiety somewhat, which in turn lowers your stress & your pain.

Good luck with the family stuff. Remember you ARE loved Smile

Thank you so much Rayne, you're so right about all of it!

Both my daughter and my hubby say I'm acting weird, I guess it's just a big weight off my chest.

Love,
Casty
