Booklady,I am glad that your surgery went good. I did not even know you were going in got surgery. I dont know if I mised a post or if you did not say anything. But my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Looks like the wonderful world of cysts may be a fibro thing.

They tell me I have a cyst on my left kidney, but no one is worried about it or doing anything. They tell me everyone has them. I've been worried over it since I found out, but no matter what Doc I talk to, no one cares. Now I'm more worried. My maternal Uncle had cancer, eventually spread to his bones and brain, started as lung, but took everything. My maternal Aunt a couple years later developed Lukemia they said from a cold that never went away. (Sounds odd to me) She was put in the hospital and died in there about 2 months later. (Once they put her in, she never went home again.)

HOW does anyone REALLY get their Doc to listen and DO something? Maybe it's because I live in a (much too) relaxed rural hick small town area, I don't know. But even the Specialists in Springfield don't listen or care.

Pamela {please}

I wish tons of love and hugs!

Pam, I am going to share something here, but please dont let it scare you. Remember each person is different.

I had a 3mm cyst on my left kidney. The doc never even told me about it. I happen to find out from a teck that saw it and decided to run an extera test. A few months later I was moving to another state. So I went to the hospital and got a copy of ALL my records.

I read every page of every report. It took me another 2 years to get someone to listen to me. They did a needel biopsy durring a CT. The doc called me on the phone and said" we dont know if you have cancer or not. We will check it again in 6 months". I just about lost it. I called my mother crying histericaly. We keept pushing and found a doc that wanted to go in and do surgery to biopsy my kidney. They removed my Left kidney. There was no cancer, (thank the good Lord) but, I had a cyst in my kidney that was 11 pounds. the 3mm they saw was just what was pushing out of the shell of a kidney I had left.

Now remember, not everyone is the same. But I would push for them to look a little better.

Pam,

I would push also. I live in a small hick rural area in Nebraska, the village that I live right outside of only has a little over 200 people in it. Anyway, I go to a clinic only about 11 miles away in a town that only has about 1000-1500 people. My doc there when he found out about my first cyst on a breast sent me directly to a Women's Cancer Clinic over an hour away. I would do anything even if it is getting ahold of a cancer center and talking to someone there. Please try and find someone.
