 Please pray for my niece. She is 10 years old. For the last 2 weeks she had an infection that has been traveling with her eczema. My sister took her to the ER and they opened a swollen area on her leg and drained it and obtained a culture and sent them home with medications. She had a reaction to the antibiotic and had to start steroids. For the last week my sister has had to premedicate her with pain medication and then put her in the bathtub and milk her leg to drain the infection. Today we found out that she has MRSA staph. I know many of you are familiar with it because of the deaths it caused in children in the DC area schools last year. This happened very close to where I live and I am so fearful for my niece. Please pray that God will touch her and heal her so she can ruan an play and do all of the things she wanted to do this summer and please pray for my sister. She needs strength to help her through this.

 My 8 yr old son had MRSA for about 18 months. We of course tried all kids of high powered antibiotics and ended up having to put in a PICC line and do IV antibiotics. My point of all this is he is doing great now, I will pray that your niece has the same result---only faster!!!

 THank you so much. I am a nurse and have seen so many devastating effects of mrsa staph that I am so frightened I can't use my nursing brain and think straight. My niece is not a well child. She had alot of trouble with low blood counts when she was little. I thank you for sending me your positive experience and I will quickly pass it on to my sister.

 My son is by no means a healthy child he has Down Syndrome, was born with esophageal atresia, and is 100% tube fed. He was quite ill and in the hospital with fungal peritonitis when they started treatment for the MRSA. So it can be positive even for those kiddos with health concerns. By the way let you sis know that he is still negative for MRSA 9 months after treatment ended!! Prayers being sent your way! Keep us updated.

 She is in our prayers. I wish her a speedy recovery and to stay healthy. I will pray for you sister also. She needs all the strength and support she can get. hang in there and let God handle it. She is in his hands and he loves her and will what is best for her.
