"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (bunnyfly)

I woke up today with a swollen gland under my one armpit. I always get it here and it comes and goes. It is very painful and hurts to lift up my arms. I am getting over a cold, so I am not sure if it is linked to that or the fibro. I have to say I do get scared at times that it is something more than fibro, but I had tons of bloodwork doen and all came back fine. Who knows, I guess it is another wonderful part of fibro.

Getting over the cold might have something to do with it as the nodes work to help us alleviate infection. I would give it a few days and see if it is still there. If not, I would seek MD care.

yes im sure it is connected to fibro i have had that quite a few time. i have even went to the doctor and they say its nothing. i am hating fibro so bad and it is making me a very angry nwoman. cause i get tired of nothing being wrong with me but yet i feel like it is something i need to run to the hospital for and when i get there im told nothing is wrong. i feel so frusterated with it anymore but yet im in agony and cant even stand to be talked to at times... but anyways im sorry formy rambling. but i get the lumps to so its normal. atleast thats what im told.i think there should be groiups in every town in every state where people can get together to talk about this and maybe we could learn to deal with it alot better buy understanding what this one or that won is experiancing or is gonna experiance some day. but i dont think that will ever be done.they wanna complain we go in to the hospital to much for this well maybe if we were in groups with others who have it we would understand it better and have someone to talk to abou it. hopefully there can be a bill signed or something or someone who is well enough to start groups on this i know im not well enough.. or i would believe me. ty for yolu,r time.. sincerly angelblossom1963

Can I ask everyone a question? What does your swollen glands feel like? Are they very big or small? The reason I am asking is because I get this really painful bump under my armpit once a month. It usually only last a few days and it always seems to happen around the time I am ovulating. I would say the little bump feels like a pimple and it is very painful to the touch. Could it be something as simple as an ingrown hair? I could use any help!

I got a lump like that and my PCP put me on an antibiotic and it went away....she said it was a skin infection because of shaving.

Hey all I found this thread about swollen glands and have some mixed answers. So far I see it is nothing and it is fibro, then I hear it is CFS (I'm not diagnosed with so far), then I hear it is an infection need or don't need antibiotics, then I hear some people getting it checked for cancer??? I get swollen glands in my throat, it is very sore and gets to the point that I am afraid that my whole throat is going to close! It is scary sometimes, I will tell my doc at the next appt but was wondering if anyone has found a way to get the ones in the neck to go down? Help.. I'm hurting...

Sometimes it's hard to walk, talk, or even know what tomorrow brings. But as long as I have a smile on my face I can give a little bit of sunshine!

Usually the ones in the throat are the ones fighting off infections/respiratory. I've read that the ones in the underarm pits and neck are the ones associated with CFS. I have CFS and the ones in my underarms are quite frequently sowllen and hurt.

Do you still have your tonsils and adenoids?
