I see in the lists of symptoms that swollen glands are one of them.

I was wondering if anyone has had problems with their glands being swollen. For a couple of months now mine have been painful and swollen, I went to the doctor yesterday and I need to see someone else now, they want to see if they are cancer.

I am quite nervous about it all, so any info at all would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

DoDo

Chronically swollen glands can also accompany chronic fatigue syndrome, and may be a sign of a hyperactive immune system that is not functioning properly. Many CFS patients will have swollen glands most of the time because their bodies are fighting chronic, hidden infections such as chlamydia, yeast, viruses, mycoplasma, etc. CFS and fibro often go hand-in hand, with CFS having the dominant feature of constant, debilitating fatigue, and fibro patients dominant feature is more likely to be pain amplification in muscles and joints. I get swollen glands over long periods in the winter from sinus infections and flu.I will pray that your swollen glands turn out to be non-cancerous and nothing to be too concerned about, DoDo! Waiting is always stressful so try to relax and take care of yourself as best you can until you know more and stay in touch with all of us!

I also have CFS and yes I also have swollen glands 3/4 of the time. it sucks and they are sore so much that my gums past my molars get sore and swollen too but I jut eat my tylenol and it actually seems to help some for that. Not always and not alot but enough I guess. Not much else I have found that I can do for it. Good luck and let us know if you find any remidies.

Thank you hipmama and foxy and mommy.......sometimes I get the feeling that no one is in here.....LOL

It can be quite uncomfortable when you wake up in the morning feeling like you have the mumps, and then frustrating to see that they seem to go down a bit, only to find they are right back the same as before.

I have a dentist appt this am, filling, lol, at least I won't feel them for a little while today and the pain that accompanies them.

Hope your morning is pleasant, and the rest of your day relatively pain free!

I have swoolen glands in my kneck and head. I have one on the right side of my head that I feel is something more, but the doctor just prescribed an antibiotic and said it would go away it hasn't and it shoots pain up my head and down my kneck. The pain doctor said that it is just one of my trigger points.

I had a CT Scan done, but not for that.I'm sure if it was something serious though it would have picked it up?

I'll be praying for you. I know how scary it is. I get new symptoms all the time and I really always feel like I have something more goig on with me.

The doc didn't even offer me anything for these ones...hmmm

WEll, the 2 fillings were not that bad to do....but, speaking with her about the jaw pain, she asked me if I had earaches....I told her I have had lots of earaches my whole life. She was hoping that the freezing would help the jaw pain, nope.....she felt my swollen glands too....then said she was sending me to a specialist. She thinks they are all connected. So I am seeing another doctor on June 3rd...so maybe I will find out something soon.
