Hi all,

new to group I have been diagnosted with fibro in 1993.

It has been manageable so far coping with aleve and exercise, however, this flareup has been recent I had to bury our dog(the dog died in my arms)I could not afford a vet disposal I had to bury a hole three feet deep and two feet wide, needless to say Friday was difficult, I took a few days off and worked out sunday, then a little today. My knees feel really stiff and I feel so slow...Is this normal??

Yes I think it is normal. When go through a lot of stress and physical activity that you body is not used to, you will feel it the next day. When I do a lot of shopping at the outdoor markets, here in Turkey, or when I cl imb around a castle. I will pay for it for days.

Thats so hard to have to deal with. I havn't had a pet for a long time, but I certainly remember the pain of loosing them. I can imagine what a flare that must have sent you into.

Yes it is normal to feel that way after all the exercising and then the emotional trauma itself will cause you to feel to beat.

I'm really glad you found us! Thats amazing that you treat your fibromyalgia with Aleve and exercise! You might be the first person I have heard of taking this approach.

Sorry about your pet. Mine died last July and I haven't got another one yet. I don't know if I am able to house break another one and take care of it. Welcome to the group. You have found a place to get information on the disease and people who understand what you are going through. Just don't be afraid to post or ask questions. I love it on here. Sometimes you get a really good laugh around here too. It is good to be able to laugh when we all want to sit and cry sometimes. So take care. Jan

I stand corrected it is not a DISEASE it is a syndrome. Sorry if I mislead anyone by calling it the wrong name.

Good evening everyone,

I did not mean to offend anyone, so many dr`s call it a disease, we all know it is a syndrome, it hurt so badley the past two days I took my amyltriptone(SP), that helps me with the fourth stage of sleep, my knees ache and difficult to un-bend them.
