I love crafts. I used to paint Christmas decorations and sell them at craft shows but my fingers won't let me get into the detail work anymore. So instead of throwing away all my paint and brushes etc, I went onto bigger things. I wanted a blessed mother statue for my garden so one year, my husband bought me a huge one complete with grotto for Christmas. What we did was borrowed my step son's mechanics stool. It's on wheels and ajustable in height. My husband put the statue (it weighs a good 150 lbs according to him) on a dolly and he layed it down in the middle of the garage for me. It was so nice rolling all over the place painting it at my leisure. No bending over or putting strain on my neck and shoulders. Here's a picture of the finished project. She's still on the dolly so it looks funny cause she was laying down.

My other hobby was gardening. I do just a little bit of that now because of the back and legs.

Thank you. It was my first time painting something that size. It's not as easy as it looks.
