"My mother is dealing with chronic pain and has fibromyalgia" (worrieddaughter09)

MDJunction to me

"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

Oh man McBeth...you got me laughing big time just imagining you trying to walk around with this big wreath hot glued to your thigh!! Oh, that is a good one!! So next Xmas we can just 'hang you' out by the front porch??? Thanks for the chuckle...I can't stop snickering over that one.

I am really glad to see so many of us are 'crafty'. If our 'creative sides' can come out and play for even an hour per day, thats an hour we are 'distracted' from our gold ol' friend "Mr Fibbie". Lets meet here tomorrow and have some more fun!! Sleep tight everyone...

You know McBeth, as soon as I read about you gluing a wreath to your thigh, I could not even picture how that happened. I could picture the scene but how did you get it glued to your thigh? I am right there with you tuffy, I agree that just one hour a day can help us all just a little bit.

{{Soft & Gentle Hugs}} to all of you, especially you McBeth.

Oh I wasn't smart enough to put the wreath on a table I had it sitting on my lap.

It was a grapevine wreath, I was making for someone. I don't even remember what I was glueing to it.

You know how sometimes the glue maybe isn't hot enough to come out of the gun....so you push harder? Well I did and big blob of it came sprewing out. It ran down the side of the wreath and down through the little holes. Now this was not a cheapie glue gun from Wal-Mart. Nope hubby fixed me up with the Super-Duper Tim Allen Extreme Hot Glue GunXL!!! So when the glue came out I had a lot of glue. I was in the spare bedroom room, so I couldn't just throw the glue gun down, I'm trying to sit it down and get the wrreath off my leg at the same time while trying not to get driping glue all over the carpet and everything else.

By the time I found a safe place to sit the gun down some of the smaller bits of glue had dried. Course that did make it easier popping them off my thigh.

Be wise and dignified like the swan: he maintains his composure, staying unruffled on the surface, while always paddling like crazy underneath.

Oh McBeth....that description of the wreath and your BIG BOY glue gun got me chuckling all over again. Have you ever been holding this itty bitty charm or whatever and your trying to get it glued onto ribbon or paper.....and then your finger gets glued down too? Yeah, me too!!

That Tim Allen Glue Gun XL sounds great. Think about it..you could use it as a weapon at night with any trespassers or would be burglars. Load that puppy up with glue and BOOOOMMMM..his face is an instant ornament!

Well, I did MY craft thing for an hour today. I planted more seeds in my lil' black containers. I got all jazzed this morning when I checked on all the baby seedlings and WOW..the lettuce is coming up...Yippeeee Mine you the lil' guys are about as tall as 1 fingernail and the width of a piece of hair...but its working...new life is coming from a pile of dirt, which has made my day. I told the lil lettuce guys to talk to the beans and radishes...grow darn it! Life above the dirt is so much fun!! Now I KNOW I am certifiable...talking to lettuce seeds?? I gotta get out more....

i spent alot of time sitting in a chair with toys dumped on her bed so all i had to do was throw keepers back in toybox and throw away ones in a trash box. that was much easier to do lol

I love that sense of accomplishment. The only bad part is the insane pain that comes after. Although, I have a daughter who loves to play restaurant. She gets a little notebook and asks me what I want. It doesn't have to be food, she just asks me anything I want. t is so nice.
