"My mother is dealing with chronic pain and has fibromyalgia" (worrieddaughter09)

MDJunction to me

"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (bunnyfly)

Well there might be some benifits to Coffee, but caffiene is a drug..and it is addictive.... how good can that be for you..... I think the more you can do to cut it out of your daily diet the better you are going to feel...

I know since I have gotten off caffiene..it has helped me especially with the headaches....... may be it was just a fluk....but I would swear by it.....

I agree. I wasn't trying to argue with you. I was just saying that one reason that I am afraid to stop drinking coffee is the headaches.

One of my good friends had recently stopped drinking coffee. His doctor said it is like it continually stimulates that fight-or-flight response. Which is not a good thing to have continually stimulated! He said he actually has more energy since he stopped drinking coffee. That is the main reason I want to stop. I am hoping for the same result. But I am a chicken because I hurt so much as it is, I hate to add to it.

I thought about going cold-turkey. I'd warn everyone ahead of time that I'll be miserable and grouchy and just will stay in bed for a couple of days. lol I wonder though, how long it would take to get it all out of your system. Like, how long will I wish I would die before I get back to normal again.

I get told all the time that I drink to much Coke but the way I see it is this damn disease has taken away so much in my life that I have 2 things that I do and to me I will keep doing it. I do not do drugs, other then what is prescribed, and I do not drink alcohol ( I do not care if anyone else does I just can not anymore) and I do not go shopping and blow money on things that I do not need I don't even buy myself things that are new. I shop at goodwill, garage sales and the other places like that. I have to make sure that my family has what they need &/or want. So I will not stop smoking or drinking my coke.
