I used to do housekeeping. I went down to one client who were wonderful understanding and flexible. About a month ago, I finally quit. It was just to hard. My symptoms are not better but my spirits are better. My financial situation is pretty bad. I am not sure how I will get through the month. All I now is that God always gets me through.

I am a student and am waiting for June to get financial aide. How do you all do it? I don't know about disability. I think I could still work part time, but with school it doesn't seem feasable.

I havn't been able to work in a long time, and I get to much pain in my hands to go to school right now. I thought well since I'm sick and can't work I'll go back to school, but I can't stand to write for very long and sometimes I can't write at all. It sucks, but it's my life.

There are quit a few here that work so I'm sure they will have some good advice.

I worked for about 3 years after being diagnosed. I was an office manager and I did everything in the office and finally I got to where it hurt too much to type and to get up and down out of my chair all the time. It wasa busy office and so I just got to where I couldn't do it. I filed for social security disability almost 3 years ago and have been turned down every time. I am currently waiting for a hearing date with the judge to try again to get it. You will see that a lot of us are either on disability or trying to get it. Some of us are still able to work though. It is all in how well your pain is being controlled and how much you can still do physically. I don't want to discourage you about school and everything. I think it would be great if you can go and do something different.
