I haven't had much luck with Lyrica at all. When I got up to 50mg 3x a day, I shook like a palm tree in a wind storm & all I could do was cry. The worst pain for me is in my wrists, and I keyboard almost all day long. I also have osteroarthritis in both hands. I take Celebrex which seems to help both problems quite a bit. Until I began the lyrica, the dr had me on neuronton and I hated that. Midge

Hi Midgee,

I could be wrong (I'm not a medical professional), but I have a theory. Lyrica is specifically indicated for use in people who's fibro pain is the result of nerve malfunction. If one's fibro pain is NOT nerve related it makes sense that the Lyrica wouldn't be effective???? Just a thought

A GREAT all natural anti-inflammatory and pain reliever is called;

CURAMIN. You can get it at www.curamin.com and most healthfood stores now. It's very safe and effective with no side effects. Not only good for Fibro but also Arthritis.

I use it whenever I get flare ups!

I agree with the Lyrica not working for unrelated nerve pain. I never had the pain in my wrists until I was diagnosed with fibro. But I am not positive that I don't have arthritis in them either. When first on Lyrica, my ankles swelled up horribly, full of water. It was spooky. When I got homne from work I had to lay down and put my feet up to drain the water out of them. Now it is not so much, for which I am grateful What disappoints me most is that I am unable to do laundry or clean my house. I tried on Saturday and only lasted about 20 minutes. It is frustrating for sure. Thanks to all for your thoughts - Midge
