I'm getting ready to have a knee sergery. They are going to go in and move my knee cap back to the center, take off some of the damaged bone and move my leg bone a little. They said it's going to take me about 3 to 6 weeks to heal, and then I'm going to have loads of physical therapy. Then when thats all done I get to do it again on the other knee. I'm going to have stitches and one screw to get the bone to stay in palce.

He said that there are two things that might happen. One I could get an infection in my bones and two my bones might not heal properly and if that happens I will be disabled.I'm scared

I'm just wondering if anyone has gone through this or another painful sergury like this and how did it effect your fibro?

Did sergury cause your fibro to go into a flare and do you think you hurt more because you have fibro?

I'm just really nervous and need to know if this is going to be harder on me because I have fibro.

Cadburry, Try not to dwell on it because with fibro you really don't know. It might have no affect on you one way or another. Sometimes we can set ourselves up psychologically, ya know what I mean....something like the the little cartoon character "sad sack". LOL I may be dating myself with that one!

However, just think for the moment! Don't project what you think will or won't happen! Does this amke sense to you?

I hope so....cause I think I'm confused now!

Spruce

P.S. I wish success on your surgery!

Thank you so much Spruce! I understand exactly what you mean

Your right I shouldn't even worry about it. I just got worried because I just got my Fibro to calm down, and I'm scared to go back to what I was. I'm going to pray about it and beleive that all will be fine!

I'm glad Cadburry! We get stressed out so much that it's easy to lose it.

When is your surgery?

Hi Cadburry!

Unfortunately, today is very slow for me. I didn't sleep at all last night until 5 am. I've been sleeping for most of the day! I really hate when that happens. I was so looking forward to go to a bible assembly today. My poor hubby had to go alone..sigh...!

Keep me updated for your surgery, ok?
