I started taking Lyrica 6 months ago and I seemed to have no effects from it at all so I weaned myself off of it over the course of a week and one week later I found myself in excruciating pain. So, back on the Lyrica and I went to the Dr. 2 weeks later and he put me back on meloxicam also. I'm patiently waiting for it to kick in...it was raining this morning when I woke up so I never bothered to get dressed, it's Sunday and luckily I don't have to work on Sundays. I too get swelling around the sides of my neck, neck pain which sometimes leads to a headache, doing laundry is the worst, have to go up and down the basement steps and my knees get really angry at me for that! I was reading about the guaifenesin protocol this morning, does anyone have any thoughts on that? Anyone try it?

Can you tell me more about what the guaifenesin protocol is? I've heard it mentioned before.

I only know what I've read about it, wouldn't try it without talking to my Dr. first but you can learn more about it here. http://guaifenesin.com/protocol.htm It sounds like it might get pretty costly.

Hmmmm, you all are making me re-think Lyrica . It has helped with my pain and made me much more comfortable with just 100mg per day. I now take both pills at bedtime rather than morning and night, tho'.

I DO experience fuzzy thinking and sometimes bad concentration but hardly any leg pain anymore .
