I am so sorry you are haivng this kind of pain level. My pain prblems tend to wax and wain or time. I was diagnsoed with fibro aobut 18 years ago. About 4 years ago i was diagnosed with rhematoid Arthritis. I take medication for it too. I think they may help the fibro. I take plaqunil, methotrexiate for it. I am also on welbutrin and klonopin. I had low vit.D and taking more D has helped too. The doctor is taking me off Wellbutrin slowly. I have started excercise in a very warm-90 degree pool once a week. I feel better in the pool.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hugs,

Rac

I have read several of the post and I see that most people started Lyrica at about 50mg twice a day and have had several side effect at this dose. My dr. started me on 100mg 2x a day I haven't noticed any major side effect from it maybe being a little more tired than usual but that is hard to tell since I am extremely tired every day just about. I am now up to 150 mg twice a day and haven't noticed much difference in my pain but since I haven't had any side effect I figure I will keep taking it figure what can it hurt. Dr. is just so sure it will help but I have been on it for several months and still have more bad days than good but have a few good one now and again. So I guess what I am trying to say is it is not bad for all people.

Hi Foxy

I've been on Lyrica since February and it has helped me. I take 75mg. Three at night time because it works better for me. If I take it at 7:30 pm and get up at 5:00 am, I'm not so sleepy and dizzy. If I need one during the day I take one. I also take cymbalta which help keep me calm and sleep good at night.

I'm tell what a dumb thing I did this past week. I gave out of Lyrica. So I was going to try to make it to pay day which is the last of the month. My last dose was on Tuesday. Friday I went to work and hurt so bad I had to come back home. I hurt everywhere. So now I do see what the lyrica is doing for me.

I also have that terrible pain across my shoulders and sides of my neck, even swelling sometimes. But taking the Lyrica helps the rest of my body.

I have felt the wonderful relief from the lyrica too. Friday night i discovered it has affected my ablitiy to have an orgasim.

Tday i am having a great deal of depression. I feel out of it. I am also cutting back on my wellbutrin. the doctor is taking me off of it slowly. I ahve called the pharmists and the doctor. Of soure no talking to the doc because it is the weekend. The pharamacist said call the doctor. He also said that maybe the combo is causing the depression. I finally called a friend to come over and talk-I was scared. i feel a little bit better now. Have you heard of or had nay of these problem. if so how did you get past them?

Well, I have had an orgasm because I don't have the desire for sex and when I do have sex, I really don't feel it that much. The lyrica has deadened my nerve endings there too, I guess.

I dont think I have been on it ling enough for that to take hold yet. But that is not a side effect I want!! I delt with enough sexual side effects when I was on antidepressants and I am sure I will when I get put back on them in July. YUCK!

This makes sense. if it keeps sensations down for pain it effect the other too. not a great trade off. But when I am in pain I don't have the energy to for an orgasim either. No wonder i feel depressed. No my depression is more than that today. i think it is acentuated by coming off the wellbutrin

Another thing is that when I take my meds at night I'm so out of it that I just want to sleep anyway.
